"Return him!" the other sprit calls out and moves closer, before sending rocks flying, attacking everyone except Iroven.
Tomas raises his shield, stones bouncing off harmlessly. While Artesia is ready this time, and dodges the stones easily. Similarly Koram and Haitih is at the edge of the telekinetic storm, and can merely step out of the way.
Iroven moves up, and the other poltergeist sends a blast towards him as a reaction. The stone hit him in the side (17 damage).
Finally up close, he lets loose with his sword, it connects, flying through the halfway intangible creature. It seems to hurt, though far less than it would a corporeal creature.

One of the poltergeist sends a new flurry of stones around itself. Iroven is able to withstand the onslaught, but Tomas is only saved from a critical wound by his shield (5 damage).
Artesia takes a big rock in the side (21 damage) as does Koram (19 damage), while Haitith dodges.
Then it follows up with another stone thrown directly at Iroven, though it misses him.

The other poltergeist sends another blast of stones around it. Iroven takes some stone in his back (11 damage), as does Tomas (15 damage) and Koram (10 damage).
The rest avoids the worst of it.
Iroven isn’t one to be outshined by Tomas, and swings out with a mighty swing that critically damages the creature. As it is struck, it dissipates, leaving behind a small goo of ectoplasm.
Artesia sends another healing wave, hurting the remaining poltergeist and bringing strength back to her allies.

You can also recall that they are known for their terrifying shrieks, that can make even the bravest warrior think twice about fighting one of them.
Standing, he addresses the group. "If this creature relies on sight to find its prey, I might be able to help. I have a spell that can envelop up to five of us in a cloak of invisibility, but it does only last ten minutes. It would be best for us to catch the creature on the ground, if possible."

Once again the poltergeists rise as you come near, but holding out the amulet they stop and regards you. They move aside and stand by and watch your next move.

"Thanks," the ghost says. "I am Jodren, you have done the spirits a great service today. You have given rest to the Lea of Honored Souls."
"I was once a burning mammoth, but when they decided to abandon their migratory route I chose to stay behind and tend the Lea. The Lea was our way to honor the spirits whenever we passed. We came here to honor those who passed. Each of the stones in the middle here represent a hunter that died in the service of the following."
It takes off a ring and hands it to Koram. "Hope this can help your travels."
As the ghost disperses the ring hardens in Koram's hand becoming a solid ivory ring.
Early in the afternoon you come upon a small area where all the animals have died from intense cold. Icicles still hang from the trees and the grass is damp.

The halfling draws a longsword and turns around. "Wh-who goes there?!"
Haitith steps out of the foliage into view yet staying at a distance. Koram enters his mind to be one with the eidolon's senses. "You are meant no harm, I was merely curious at your presence." Koram uses his mind to speak through Haitith, giving him - he hopes - the right words to say.
The half-elf grabs for a short sword at her belt, but while simultaneously back off, she fumbles it and it drops into the ground.
"I'll take my chances with the ghost," the kitsune utters before her arms start moving to cast a spell. As she does a translucent shield starts floating in the air around her.
Rolling diplomacy. Is our hero points refreshed?

"Hush!" the kitsune says. "We don't know if they are allies. Don't go around announcing our business."
The half-elf shakes her head. "I am Belguese. The worrywart here is Ray."
"And I'm Arvis," the halfling adds. "We can't say we have words from home. We've been stuck in this valley for what seems like forever."
"There's a spirit in the tree. We've been sent to dispatch it," Belguese explains. "If we are to expect your help in dealing with a dragon, I'm sure a spirit will be no trouble. Right?"
Arvis starts nodding its head. "Yeah, yeah. You need to prove yourself before we can take you to the commander."
"What are the two of you talki..." Ray says, but is interrutped by a half-elven elbow in the side. Belguese then leans over and whispers something to her companion. Ray's eyes light up by whatever she's told in the whisper, and starts nodding along as well.

"They wouldn't have listened anyway," one of the leshys mutters under its breath.
"I thought I'd nip this in the bud," Daphelia chuckles from her own pun before continuing. "Before anyone got hurt. I am sure we can share the forests' bounty. In fact you have treated my little one with respect, so I feel bad that I have to beg you for a favor."
"This tree is has a twin on the other side of the valley where my brother Bargott lives. Due to the trees connection I have always been able to feel his presence," she touches one of the roots and it moves ever so slightly. "Lately however, I feel nothing. I suspect this is due to the valley falling outside the sway of the seasons, which has caused it to become cursed."
She opens her hand and reveals a seed. "This is a seed from the elder tree. Would you please deliver this to him so he can know he's not alone."
Your looking is suddenly interrupted by a loud sound coming from over a nearby hill, followed by a voice in the distance. "Stay back foul beast." Finally you hear the familiar sound of weapons on weapons.

The Mendevian soldier smashes at one of them desperately with a dagger, though it is the only weapon he's holding, it proves an ill suited weapon to dealing with skeletons. While he is the better fighter, and able to go toe to toe with them, it seems his weapon will be his downfall.
One of the skeletons slashes several times at the soldier, and one of the strikes hits him in the side.
