Chapter 3.2 - Return to the Golden Grain Inn

Arya sticks her torch in the ground, casts Light, and moves out of the statue room, passing Theran and ending her turn by Morton.

Myrtha follows Arya (and probably Chase?), her brawny body once again almost getting stuck in the narrow passageway. Bursting through, the warrior woman dashes down the left-hand tunnel, passing Theran, Aanbo (she figures he's leading the enemy into a trap), continuing past Arya, and moving to the edge of the cleric's holy light. She knows that Arya will pull ahead of her again, and they will leap-frog down the passages to take another route to the cellar door...hopefully to arrive behind whatever threat Aanbo has encountered!
Morton, seeing Aanbo run past in one direction and Myrtha in the other, sidles along the passageway toward the glow of the enemy torch. As soon as he lays eyes on the cloaked figure (Lhari), he draws upon the powers of Hell once more. His eyes glow and the conduit to the Abyss opens, sending a blast of infernal force at the man.
Lhari takes 6 force damage!

@runekyndig - Lyrel is well-hidden behind the statue. Would you roll initiative, too? If you want Lyrel to do something in round one, you can post that, too.

A frigid beam of blue-white light streaks toward a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, it takes 1d8 cold damage, and its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.
The spell’s damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).

Lyrel runs past Chase, leaps over the guttering torch he threw down, and comes back into the room with the dead python. She stops next to Theran and intones the arcane syllables as she extends her hand; the thauma of her will forms in her hand, and an icicle launches from her palm, piercing the cloaked figure.
Lhari takes 6 cold damage!

The second cloaked figure moves up, preparing to use his crossbow.
Lhari snarls and runs forward, swinging his mace at Lyrel who just attacked him. Recognizing Theran from a previous encounter, Lhari swings at the druid, too!
But as he approaches Theran, the musty-smelling wood elf grins, activating his spore cloud.
Lhari chokes but manages to cough out the spores before they can damage his lungs.
Lhari manages to hit the wizard but misses the druid.
Lyrel takes 6 bludgeoning damage!
The second cloaked figure raises his crossbow. Theran has a moment to lock eyes with the attacker, and they recognize each other: it is Hamiff! Hamiff launches the bolt at Theran.
Theran takes 10 piercing damage!

Desperately, his hand clapped to the bolt piercing his side, Theran draws upon the power of all the fungus in the dirt all around them. Suffused with the comforting magic of decay, he releases it all in a focused blast: "CHAGA!"
Lhari takes 4 thunder damage and stands his ground, the torch flickering and almost going out.
Hamiff takes 8 damage and is thrown back out of the torchlight, bouncing off of the dirt walls further up the passage.
Arya catches up to Myrtha and passes her, leading the way with her light. The sound of the thunderclap gives her feet more urgency: something is seriously wrong!
Wincing at the sound of thunder, Chase creeps up the corridor, bow drawn, and lets fly his arrow as soon as he sees the person attacking Theran and Lyrel. It is only after the arrow misses that he recognizes that it is Lhari.
Ember hears the crack of thunder and wonders whether she should defend the statue room alone or go out into the deep darkness to investigate. She can see faint torchlight from Chase's torch flickering in the passage on the left.
Myrtha nods at Arya and runs down the passage; Arya follows on her heels (using her Readied action), lighting the passage from behind. Myrtha arrives at the intersection that she remembers as the one just inside the door from the cellar. If she turns to her right, she would be in darkness leading to the where the others are fighting. If she continues forward, she would enter the secret cellar room.

Lhari takes 10 force damage!
