@MacConnell is it a DnD problem or problem with gamerslane charactersheet ? If it is the first I can suggest you a few alternatives, please come back as soon as possible with your final decision:
1. You go to https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/builder and use premade option (or quick build)
2. You pick the druid I just created as premade just change name if you want - click the link to download charactersheet
3. You go to https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/builder use quick build and ask any questions you get in the process
4. You just give up and leave the game

I absolutely love the premise for your scenario, and I can adapt to the data of the provided sheet. I am having an excessive amount of difficulty trying to gather the necessary D&D information. I love these kind of games, so I would like to play, but I do not want to impede progress. I will try the links you just provided to see about a premade druid and simply use the scores that I rolled on this site. Thanks for your patience.
OOC:
I recognize the opening page. This is the site that I tried to use, first. I am not seeing an option for selecting a premade character. I clicked on "start building" I selected druid and elf and folk hero. I gave the character a name and selected a terrible portrait, but there seems to be nothing further to do and no data is visible.

I can open your premade druid, but I do not know how to download it. I can try to manually copy the information to my character record.

I do not think that I will ever be able to complete a D&D character. I am going to back away. Hopefully you can pick up another player with some experience. Thanks for the time.
Sad to hear. Making a character for D&D can be time-consuming. That's why I chose to create my character using AI - took me a few minutes. If you want, I can help you create a druid using AI?

Thanks, I am not computer savvy. Gray/Grey is still trying to help me, rather than pushing me aside, so let me see how he responds to the above post.

Actually, i like creating character! I like it manually! Even though i admit i use ai, but its just for character's image and nothing more!

@MacConnell I'm not exactly sure what do you mean "how to download it" depending on your browser there will be an icon for save or download. Tell me what are you running on windows or mac, is it mobile, tablet or desktop and what browser you are using and I may goodle for you how to do that.

Now for building your own character I am also confused. Do you see this?
https://i.postimg.cc/q73y7QNS/file11.png

You will need to do exactly that

Also - when you choose background do you see this? There is no Folk Hero, not supposed to be.
Folk Hero background is not officially printed in the 2024 Player's Handbook. You are doing a 5.0 character instead of 5.5 and I just don't know how you manage to do that

If there is - please tell me how you get that

If you are creating your character based on basic rules there will be only 4 Backgrounds available to you.

How well do we know each other before the start of the game? Have we been adventuring together for a while? If so, how long? If not, how did we meet? The answer will help me determine how much of Atty's backstory I reveal to the party. If they've been adventuring together for weeks, his background and stuff will have come up, but if they just met yesterday, probably not.

Good question. I insist you were on at least one adventure all together, but it could have been 2, 3 or even 5 adventures/quests (which is I guess about max adventuring experience you could have as lvl 3). I don't mind if two of you want to know each other before adventuring career, but I would like to see as general rule - you first met doing adventuring a week or a few weeks ago and other PCs know about your PC as much as he or she would be willing to tell at a campfire by the night.

Maybe we should write a little bit about our RPs in a forum thread, so we get to know them, and can bounce ideas off how they know each other?
Sep 10, 2026 1:09 pm
This is just a one-shot. If we run a full story I would see fit longer intro. My preference for a oneshot is this: focus on the one shot. Skip anything that happened before: we assume you did killed some snakes, goblins, zombies, skeletons, but as a matter of fact your adventure were boring. Your PCs don't want to talk about it in this story.

Now that's my reference, But if you wish otherwise - feel free to use this thread to do whatever you wish. Talk your talking. Share how you were traveling to other planes of existence, stealing gold from dragons, doing quests for leach kings. :-) But keep it out of our game story

OK?!

Sounds great, thank you.

Everyone. I suggest we get started and allow @MacConnell to take time and catch up even if player would miss first post or two in the game

So I've unlocked game thread and my plan at least for first week is following:
- I will be waiting for your posts in game thread till Sunday morning in EU and will make next post sometime Sunday
- I will then wait and do my next posts Tuesday and Thursday evening EU time.
- That's the 3 per week which was minimum I announced in recruitment. We will see how/if we can speed up after we have played one week
- If you want ask clarification question or any other feedback from me sooner than these scheduled posts - use OOC thread, I will try to always answer within 8 hours in OOC.

I think that I can get started since you made a prefab that I am copying. So I do not have to create an account on another site, something us old folks are loathe to do, I am manually copying the data from the character that you made to my character record here. I think I have enough pertinent information transferred to be able to get going.

@MacConnell could you please do two things as priority 1:
- Set your character avatar (Change Avatar->Upload picture->save
- Decide what sells your character have prepared this morning and list them on charactersheet.
That's about all for now - everything else could be done during next week

Avatar has been set. Working on spells.

@MacConnell once you have spell list ready I can approve your character then you can post in game thread
oh I see you posted already... that's fine - once I approve you character either me or you can edit your post to make in in character. I still do insist you do your "homework" let me know if you need any assistance as spells preparing may be strange.
You have
- Two spells as Circle of the Land Spells - (you need to choose one type of land: arid, polar, temperate, or tropical.)
- Longstrider for Wood Elf
- 6 spells of your choice from druid spells available in PHB
Sep 10, 2026 8:48 pm
I listed only the spells that are currently "memorized." I was not sure about the information for "longstride." I guess it is a free spell instead of a free feat. The chart I found was showing 2, 1st, and 1, 2nd. My INT gives +1, +1. I copied the cantrips from your sheet.[ooc] It makes sense to go with 'temperate' land type. I did not remember seeing anything about that. I will try to find it.
