So we can gain back our hd?
No... You can spend up to 3 HD (Hit Dice) (you are still full) to recover Hit Points (that you have just 7 HP).
[ +- ] Hit Points
[ +- ] Hit Dice
If Redhawk stays at Narth's farm for the night, it could be a safe rest (if nothing bad happens...)

Alex, with the uneventful journey and me skipping forward, you actually had enough time to Make Camp. Please recover the max value for each HD.
Done, thank you.
Alex waits on Redhawk and Igrem's thoughts on his and Boggart's questions and statements.

"I think we should harvest the owlbear here to be safe that we don't lose any and explain the situation to master Narth before we head back to resupply."

OOC:
Redhawk, (and anyone else on the party) you can also spend and recover full dice (Make Camp). No need to roll.
Alex, is Redhawk’s opinion directly opposite to yours about the owlbear? What do you say? Split the party?

Redhawk, you (and anyone that stays at Narth's) can craft anything from this list that you have the ingredients, except the armor. Please check the required time (1 or more shifts for each)

No, not necessarily. If we want tocraft stiff here, fine. But Alex wants to recoup as much as possible from what we do not craft, and return to Phandalin as our next step.

OOC:
Ok! Boggart, Redhawk, what do you do?
Sep 3, 2026 10:03 am
Redhawk will skin and harvest everting possible from the Owlbear and pack it away for the trip back to Phandalin"I don't know if we have the equipment here with us to make anything useful but it will be easier to hide packed away like this. No huge carcass for others to see. Plus we can haul it packs on our backs since we lost Gertrude unless Master Narth will sell us Daisy or allow use to rent her." Looking at the others "We should also explain to him what happened with the wargs before we leave so he can help keep the area calm."
Sep 3, 2026 12:58 pm
"I'll go see if Narth is willing to sell us Daisy, then. I don't relish the idea of hauling that much carcass on the road if we get attacked." Boggart says.

Redhawk, you carefully set about skinning and harvesting the owlbear, taking as much of the valuable creature as you can preserve for the journey. You manage to recover the hide, a substantial amount of meat, nine talons, a pair of eyes, and the beak.
OOC:
Will you craft something?
Boggart, you head toward the main farmhouse to speak with Narth. As you approach, you find him already busy with the morning's work. He is tending to the animals and checking over the farm. His attention eventually turns toward you, and he pauses to hear what you have to say.

I don't believe I have the tools to craft anything.

Before Redhawk gets to work, Igrem looks at his companions and says: "Given the situation, what Redhawk proposes is probably the best compromise. Let's harvest and take what we can, and leave the place as fast as possible."

When the hunter starts skinning the owlbear, he tries to help, or at least guide him in his endeavor. He will take his share of what has been preserved from the creature when all is done, and get ready to go when everyone is.
OOC:
Sorry for the delay, I have had a complicated week.

Welcome back, @kwll!
Igrem, while you consider what you might eventually make from the creature, you realize something Redhawk apparently overlooked. There are no proper crafting kits or alchemical tools among the supplies here, but there is a large cauldron in the cellars. It is old and certainly not a proper laboratory, but it could serve as a crude brewing vessel. With enough time and the right ingredients, you could potentially use it to craft potions here rather than hauling everything back to Phandalin first.
OOC:
Igrem, Redhawk, Alex, what do you do?

Boggart, what will you say to Narth?
Sep 4, 2026 6:21 pm
Alex would like to get back to Phandalin as soon as possible, especially given that there are not the proper facilities to process the carcass here, so long as Igrem's spoilage-prevention spells will continue working.

Alex, while Boggart talks to Narth, you see the map. The journey back presents a choice. From Narth's farm, there are essentially three routes toward Phandalin.

The southeastern route would take you back through the hills and a territory relatively close to where you encountered the bandits near the Temple of Truth. It avoids the main road and some of the dangers associated with traveling through more populated territory, but it also brings you closer to an area that you already left behind.

The northeastern route would eventually put you onto the Triboar Trail, making it the fastest and most straightforward journey. The problem is that it brings you closer to Neverwinter Woods, as well as places where bandits are likely to prey upon merchants and travelers. A road means easier travel, but also more predictable targets.

And then there is the middle route, cutting between those two extremes. It would not be as fast as taking the road, but it would keep you farther from both the bandit territory near the Temple and the more heavily traveled approaches. It offers fewer advantages, but perhaps fewer risks as well.

"Sorry, Redhawk, there is not much that can be done here and now. Since neither of us want to spend any more time in these parts, I suggest we move on. Fast. Actually, maybe we should take the Triboar Trail: we have lost enough time as it is, in this owlbear corpse, as valuable as it is, is not the only thing we have to deal with. What do you think?" says Igrem, almost in one go, looking intently at his companions.

Boggart does his best to smile as he approaches. "Greetings, Narth, and thank you as always for the use of your guest house. You've been more than generous to us these days. My party aims to return to Phandelin to regroup; if you did not hear already, the hills are more dangerous than we were told, and between the encounter with the owlbear and a pack of undead gnolls, we have nearly died twice.

"Our own mule — Gertrude — was sadly slain, leaving us with no way to transport the carcass back to Phandelin where it can be rendered into weapons and potions to aide us in resolving the troubles here in Wyvern Tor. If it pleases you, would you sell us Daisy? I could not in good conscience ask you to lend her to us on account of the danger we have faced, and so we wish to buy her. We will return this way with her if we can, and so if she is needed back at the farm we would sell her back to you."

Boggart bows his head in deference to Narth. He feels in his heart that he has already broken a promise to this man, and feels shame that they have not, as yet, dealt with the orcs. How could they just leave these farmers while the danger is as great as ever? "You cannot protect anyone if you are dead." His Lady calls to him from his memory.

"Er...I do not mean to tell you your business, Narth Tezrin, but I feel a shadow growing over these hills. I worry that when we return...Is there some way to fortify yourselves together with the other farmers?"

Boggart, at your question about fortifying the farmers, Narth lets out a quiet breath and looks across the fields before answering.

"We're farmers, Boggart. Not warriors. If we were, Tomas would already have had his way and gathered everyone he could find to march on Wyvern Tor." He shakes his head. "And that's exactly the problem. I don't know how many of the neighbors would be willing to fight, or how many would simply pack their things and run if things got worse."

He considers your request about Daisy and nods.

"As for the mule, I'll sell her to you for eight gold pieces. That's a fair price, and if you come back this way and she isn't what you need anymore, we can talk about buying her back. Just take good care of her. She's a good animal."

"She'll be treated well, I promise. Take care, and stay safe." Boggart pays Narth and shakes his hand. With luck, they'll return before anything can happen to this place and it's people.

Late Afternoon, 1st of Tarsakh
Boggart, Alex, Redhawk, Igrem, are you ready to depart? If so, which route?
Sep 8, 2026 9:16 am
Igrem is ready to go, and militates for the Tiboar Trail, waiting for his companions' stance.
