Did Sheon confirm if this was the creature he was originally tracking?

OOC:
No, Sheon! This is not the creature you are tracking.

'any ofnthese guys Barlus?' Jayne thinks

Jayne scans over the bodies but doesn't recognise any of them.

OOC:
it's almost night in the game isnt it? Should we camp?
Jun 14, 2026 2:59 am
OOC:
Yes! It is now about 5pm. Night is not far away. At least you will be safe, given that predators will stay away from this clearing until they realise that the creature that inhabited this area is now dead. So you will get in a full rest.

OOC:
got.it, thanks!
Jayne says "It's a bit early, but we've all acomplished a lot today. Maybe we camp here for the night?
Jun 14, 2026 5:03 am
"I'm just as excited to sleep under a hanging tree as you are." Fira laughs a bit snidely, but offers no real objection. Gathering up the spoils from the poor unfortunates who no longer need it, she sets them aside for the moment and helps to set up the camp.
Jun 14, 2026 5:39 am
Jayne smiles, "Well, it's more of a graveyard now. Not sure if that makes it better though."
Jun 14, 2026 1:40 pm
"This wyrm certainly didn't make the tracks that we followed from the campsite," Sheon says. "I can't say with certainty that none of those bodies are whoever was dragged away, but the wyrm isn't what took them."

He begins unpacking his gear and helping the others set up the campsite.

"Do you think the tracks are headed toward Droskar's Crucible? Because that sounds like a place we should be avoiding."
Jun 14, 2026 3:10 pm
"I mean, unless one of those hits I took in Cheliax made me forget what a wolf is, I don't think they fly, or have scales. I'm going where you all go, but my vote is we don't get any closer than where we have to in order to find our target. You know, the one we came out here to find." Fira leans on the big tree, folding her arms.

Now that the immediate danger has passed and quiet has returned to the glade, Rhaemy sets to work laying out her bedroll for the evening. Once her sleeping situation has been seen to, she wanders around beneath the shade of the tree and gathers up what fallen twigs and branches she's able. It's not long after that she has a modest fire burning, bathing the immediate surroundings in a flickering orange glow.

Trenton coughs every once in a while as the effect of the creature's breath washes over him. Thanks Fira for putting that thing down, thought I was in trouble for a little bit there. He's not quite as confident as he was, still a little shaken by the attack. I don't want to go near the crucible either, but following these tracks is our current best lead, right?
Jun 15, 2026 3:46 am
Jayne winces as she hears Trenton cough. "Cayden granted me a bit of healing magic. If anyone was hurt by the creature, I may be able to help."
OOC:
Jayne can Lay on hands for 6 HP
Jun 15, 2026 3:49 am
"Cayden..." Fira muses idly, turning to look at Trenton as Jayne treats him. "You're one of those prayin' types too, right Trent? Tell me about your...guy."

The pale morning light cuts through the thinning mist, bringing the vibrant sounds and heavy scents of the clearing to life. You step onto the dew-slicked grass, your boot making a sharp, echoing crackle against a dry twig.

The air is thick with the scent of heavy, wet loam and the sharp, resinous bite of dark sap bleeding from the ancient bark. Beneath the sweeping canopy, a distant, rhythmic thud echoes as heavy condensation drops onto the mossy roots below. Nearby, a low-pitched hum of early bumblebees stirs the silence, blending with the sweet, decay-tinged perfume of wild mushrooms growing in the deep shadows. Morning has arrived!
OOC:
Are you heading back to town to sell all the stuff or will you continue on to Droskar's Crucible?
Jun 15, 2026 3:50 pm
Nethys prizes magic above other disciplines, and by following, I hope to advance my own harnessing of magic. He has granted me the ability to heal others, but I am young in my study, with much to learn. Trenton thanks Jayne for the healing hands, and is feeling better.

So what is everyone's thoughts? For my part I think we should press on following the tracks Sheon followed. Barlus is still out there, and we took the task.
OOC:
Jayne thanks for the heal. Looking back I don't think I took any actual damage, just got sickened with the breath.
Jun 15, 2026 7:43 pm
"Let's continue following the tracks for now. If they get too close to the Crucible, or worse, the Crag, I don't think we can help Barlus."
Jun 15, 2026 9:26 pm
"I agree, we don't want to turn back until we've found our quarry!"
OOC:
Is Sheon still able to make out tracks from the reptilian creatures he followed from hut? Were they heading in the direction of the Crucible when he last saw them?
