On that Perception roll of 25, Sapphira, you just manage to see out of the corner of your eye a huge Giant Ball Python, just getting ready to strike. Its red eyes glower in the green of the forest, its huge muscular body coiled like a spring ready to provide it with a lightning fast strike.

Everybody roll for Initiative.

Oh,how lovely. Do I get to roll Stealth for initiative,or do I gotta use Perception?

OOC:
The Python has seen all of you long before you saw it but you are the only one in the party that has seen it. But for your great Perception Roll, it would have surprised you with a strike. It rolled a 25 and so did you. So I think Perception as Stealth at the moment is pretty much a non-event as it has seen you and obviously been tracking the partys' movement for the last few minutes.

Fira's eyes shoot wide open and her mouth clamps shut, stifling a "HOLY SHIT" as she smacks the members of the party nearest to her to get them to turn around. With the others duly warned, she flips forward, landing on her feet in a low stance. She wants so much to run, but she sure as hell isn't saying it until someone else does first.

...Unfortunately, in her panic she lands a bit harder than expected, and falls off balance as a result.

I'm not actually moving in the context of the game,I'm just describing Fira's actions immediately prior,as part of her perception check if you will

Well,if you think of it that way let's forget about it and I'll make note of what is permitted in narration for the future. Either way, everyone made their initiative rolls independent of my description,Fira reacted in shock and fell relatively low in the initiative order.

With that said, how will we adjudicate our actions in combat? I think it would be a good idea for each player to post all three of their actions when their turn comes up instead of waiting to resolve each one individually. Maybe put a simple if/then should one action prove particularly critical to a later one.

I think that will work however there is merit in carrying out actions that have no effect on others and then step through those that have an effect on others otherwise you may say...

Player 1: I shoot at the Goblin 1, I shoot at him again, then I move behind the rock.
GM: Cool! You hit the Goblin and kill him and your second arrow hits him as he is falling to the ground. An overkill but ok. You are now behind the rock. Goblin 2 now moves behind the rock and attacks you with his shortsword.
Player 1:Oh wait. My second shot I shoot the Goblin.
GM: Hang on! So you want us to back u the action?

I also have the Incredible Initiative Feat, giving me a circumstance bonus of +2 to initiative rolls. As a new player, is that something I always have when rolling initiative? If so, or if it applies here, I guess my Initiave is +2 from what I roll.
