OOC:
Exceeding the CMD by more than five feet further for each additional five feet. CMD 20, so that's another ten feet. If course, that's all just further off the wall, but rule of cool, let's just finish off the cultist.
The cultist is knocked powerfully off the wall and hits the ground awkwardly, his neck breaking.

The four remaining cultists unlimber their heavy crossbows and shoot at the flying man now that he's visible. A shout seems the giant lumbering for the gap.

The giant lumbers toward the gap.

Looks like 18 damage to Callum. Everyone is up, in whatever order you post.

Rolls

Cultist 3 heavy crossbow - (1d20+7, 1d10+1)

1d20+7 : (8) + 7 = 15

1d10+1 : (9) + 1 = 10

Cultist 4 heavy crossbow - (1d20+7, 1d10+1)

1d20+7 : (18) + 7 = 25

1d10+1 : (2) + 1 = 3

Cultist 5 heavy crossbow - (1d20+7, 1d10+1)

1d20+7 : (12) + 7 = 19

1d10+1 : (9) + 1 = 10

Cultist 6 heavy crossbow - (1d20+7, 1d10+1)

1d20+7 : (14) + 7 = 21

1d10+1 : (4) + 1 = 5

Trying to weave out of the way, Callum is struck down. With a sharp hiss, he removes one of the bolts from his shoulder.

Despite the cultists' good aim, he sees the giant as the major threat and decides to soften it up for the others. A pea sized bolt shoots from his finger toward it.

Loose robes conceal the sand-etched features of this lanky giant. In each hand he grips a scimitar nearly the length of a human.

They nimble giant avoids much of the blast, with movements quicker than his large size would indicate. (11 damage)
OOC:
Cover on the top of the wall could be achieved from the two on the ground by lying flat. The other two on the other wall are just as high however and would continue to see Callum even then. If he's flying he could dip below the wall on the east side and he would have total cover.

Rolls

Giant reflex save - (1d20+11)

(19) + 11 = 30

Jul 20, 2026 9:29 pm
Hearing the roar of the giant, Iseret waits until it is within her line of sight, then fires again.

Rolls

1d20+15 : (3) + 15 = 18

1d6+5d6 : (6) + (44321) = 20

The giant's thick hide stops the arrow cold. (i.e., AC is higher than that)
Jul 21, 2026 5:11 am
Tabat turns Andromeda with her reins and nudges her just enough to send her speeding north toward the end of the wall. He hops down, dropping his khopesh into the sand and noting it for later retrieval while swiftly pulling free his heavy flail.
OOC:
Intending to have Andromeda take him to within about 20ft of the giant then dismounting. He failed the fast dismount roll, so his actions are 'move' to dismount, 'free' to drop weapon, 'move' to draw new weapon.

Tabat Menes: Ride (Dex) (fast dismount) - (1d20+6)

With the giant right in front of him, Selqet steps in to attack, parrying the giants return strike.
OOC:

Looks like i can 5 ft and full attack. I am fighting defensively for +2 AC (no attack penalty of first attack).

Will use a panache to opportune parry and reposted if attacned

Tabat rides into position and slips off reading himself for battle with a giant.

Selquet steps out from under cover, and unleashes his might upon the creature. (AC 24 so the second attack hits for a critical and 29 damage.)
OOC:
Callum has hasted the party, so check that you've used your haste actions.
- where does Callum move to after casting Fireball?
- Iseret has her second action from having a high base attack at -5, and a haste attack at full bonus
- Tabat can get a single haste action in I think
- Selquet also has the haste action
Jul 22, 2026 12:50 am
OOC:

Haste will be another Khopesh attack, predictably- -4 because it doesn't get the Swordplay Style buff

Rolls

Khopesh Attack - (1d20+19-4, 1d8+11)

1d20+19-4 : (7) + 15 = 22

Iseret quickly reloads and fires again! And a third time!

Rolls

Attack and damage, sneak attack (if applicable) - (1d20+10, 1d6+5d6)

1d20+10 : (5) + 10 = 15

1d20+15 : (10) + 15 = 25

1d6+5d6 : (3) + (64351) = 22

Jul 22, 2026 1:27 am
Selquet's additional attack misses.

Iseret's second attack misses but the third hits. Unfortunately I'm not sure if sneak attack applies? It's neither flanked, nor denied it's dexterity bonus in general, and Iseret neither bluffed it nor was stealthed. I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.
Jul 22, 2026 2:18 am
OOC:
S'awright. She'll just take the base damage and hope that someone flanks it soon.
Jul 24, 2026 4:34 am
Seeing his compatriots taking care of the giant, Callum utters a different arcane word and suddenly duplicates surround him.

Scimitar drawn, another arcane word encoils the blade with dark energy. He flies toward the nearest cultist, hoping to take him out before the crossbow can be reloaded.

OOC:
Ah yes! Tabat will use his haste action to move into melee. If possible, depending on the timing/order, he would seek to allow Iseret that sweet, sweet flank.
Jul 26, 2026 4:25 pm
OOC:
Let's move Tabat first, and stick him on the far side of the giant. Then Iseret will have sneak, and Selquet will have flanking.

Callum just has a move left this round, so I'll process the extra actions for next round.
[ +- ] Haste
The giant attacks Tabat and Selquet both, twin scimitars slashing out with incredible and unexpected skill.

The cultists continue to fire their crossbows at Callum.

Selquet takes 20 damage from a crit. Tabat takes 14. Callum is hit four times for 35 damage.

You're all up.

OOC:
@whtknt the red targets are dead, and that wall labeled N7 is 40' high. For Iseret to be able to see the remaining four cultists, she would need to move up to beside Tabat (about 16 squares of movement, or 80'), or somehow levitate up 40' to see over the N7 wall and get a line of sight on the two cultists (5,6) on the far wall.

What do you think?

OOC:
She is moving to V8 (the extent of her movement for this turn), hoping to reach the wall and get around it before the fun is all done.
