Chapter 2: Into a Starlit Skay
As you may guess, Breaks-The-Iron-Horse is big on Rage, not so much on Gnosis.
And on the same page:
"A werewolf can only come out of frenzy once the triggering situation is over. Once he’s escaped, the player rolls Willpower (difficulty equaling the Garou’s own Rage) to escape the frenzy. If the roll fails, the player can try again next turn with no increase in difficulty"
Thankfully I invested in some Willpower. :)
General tip: A berserking Garou will not use Gnosis, so generally speaking stepping into the Umbra is a good escape for the pack to wait out a frenzy of a packmate.

Good job
Lan changes shape to human and examins the gunmans remains. This was a wanted man, and there was some sort "other" about him. The flying horse for one, but perhaps there were more.

Searching the man's pockets reveals a note, a scrap of paper really, with an address in Richmond written in a shaky hand.

He looks around for the rest of the wolves.
Breaks-The-Iron-Horse, does frency often take you? Its a powerful weapon, just like fire. But if its not contained or directed, it can cause more harm than good. Please do not take offence, but I have a fetish, a flute, that will help us contain that fire.
Carved from hickory, this small flute has many small songbird feathers decorating it. When activated and played (which requires a Performance roll), the flute emits an enchanting melody, reawakening ancient memories of peace from ages past, when the world was whole. When an aggressive creature hears the song, it must make a successful Rage roll or cease its struggles. Creatures without Rage may not resist the flute’s music. Any being listening to the sound may still defend itself if attacked. One activation lasts for as long as the werewolf continues to play.To create a harmony flute, one must bind a bird-spirit or a spirit of peace, calm, or water into the flute.
As he waits for the others to figure that out, one idea comes to his mind and he starts ritually preparing the grounds ...
System: Standard roll (Wits + Rituals 7). If the Garou has a piece of the item or individual (a clipping of hair, a piece of cloth) the difficulty drops by one. The werewolf gains only a sense of the object’s general location, not its exact position.

"My rage is not your concern. We are not a pack, and if we were, I would be your alpha! Know your place!" He growled ferally, his massive crinos form practically gnawing as he formed the crude words of the garou tongue. The rage that had so shortly taken over the Ahroun was still very much present, just simmering below the surface and ready to erupt once more. And as the wolves had not established a pecking order between them while he was still giving off the body language of dominance which remained unchallenged, the Ahroun seemed unwilling to submit to anything or anyone..
"Alpha? Are you absolutely sure? If we were a pack and it was on the warpath, that might be the case.
But in a normal situation, even in a short-term fight, the alpha is more of a philodox, so as to be prepared for more situations than just combat. Or don't you have that custom where you come from?"
The grey wolf stands there with his chest out and his ears and tail erect. Not a challenge, more like advice to someone higher up.
"Wyrm does not care for your waiting."
"But Gaia is concerned with infight and bad judgement. So we have to avoid it.
Killing this one makes sense.
Combat the Wyrm Wherever It Dwells and Whenever It Breeds
Threatening other Garou when you are no longer in a frenzy does not.
Respect Those Beneath Ye - All Are of Gaia
Of course, I don't need to recite the entire litany to you; you're not a cub anymore, so you know the details. But I am happy to offer you detailed discussions on this topic when we have time and peace and quiet.
For now, I propose that we now all counsel together as independent Garou who pursue the same goal — to strengthen Gaia and fight the Wyrm."
He stands before the greater one, yet striving for calm and clarity.
You guys have the lead in town to follow up; at this point you do need to form the pack to move forward realistically.
And the question of what you do with the remains of the man & horse are an open issue.
Lan
Special horseshoes perhaps?
One thing he is already sure of is that Breaks-The-Iron-Horse will never be recognised as alpha. He is too weak.

Rolls

He wonders whether this Garou would follow the litany if it came down to it, but it would be premature to judge him based on a first encounter. When the next one addresses this topic, he listens attentively at first. He nods his ears in agreement, but takes his words in a different direction:
"All creatures of this world are of Gaia, but more than a few are corrupted. But how this came about, a wordsmith and singer will be able to explain better than I can.
We are among the few who serve her, and there is a reason why we are here. Only the blind speak of coincidences."
Lupus-Lan
Once his examination is exhausted, he returns to his birthform.

I will ask around on the other side. Someone ought to know what a flying horse was doing here
With that, Land-Speaker shifts into the umbra.
