"Golems wait! We want to help, but to be able to do that, we need something from you!", she tries to get their attention, in part to distract them from Orrid and in part to convince them.

Again the Clay Golem responds better than the Bronze, who remains coldly impassionate and seems completely unaffected by your persuasiveness. While the Clay one nods and reaches up to pull the shard stuck in it free the bronze proffers a counter offer as it moves to stand over the pedestal with its crystal shard.
You may begin with the four you have then give the result to me with instructions on how to complete your solution.

While the combat pauses and the golems watch Aurora struggles with the crystals you have secured. Unfortunately only 2 pieces join up while the others do not seem to line up no matter how you arrange thing. However Aurora does notice that when the 2 pieces are placed together their mystic energies move to bind them back to each other but the result is not quite strong enough to keep them together or restore the original enchantment it does show that with all the pieces, or something to fill the missing gaps, the process would likely work.

She sighs in frustration.
"I need the shards both of you have. It seems they are the parts that connect the remaining shards. I cannot connect the ones I have without the missing two shards."

The clay golem nods at the statement and turns to face the Bronze golem who steps back protectively over the pedestal....
I see not signs your efforts will succeed and refuse to endanger my obligations further at this point.

"What even are your obligations? There is an enchantment on the shards and it can only be restored once all shards are back together", she says.

Orrid ponders and says to Ursa where the golems can't hear I dont think we could take them if we had to fight them but we cant rule it out as a possibility Orrid reaches into his bag and pulls out a rope Do you think it would be possible to pull the shard out with rope? he says as he feels the strength of the rope in his hand Maybe create a distraction and i can make a lasso and try to put the loop around the shard and yank it out. I know its not the greatest idea but maybe it can work. I am all out of ideas at this point and i don't want to fight them Orrid says as he observes the size of the two creatures

"We can try that...a distraction should not be a problem."
Aurora nods and tries to keep the attention of the golem either on herself or each other.

Sorry for slow response. Family holiday time has broken my online schedule. OK, since you are looking for a non-combat solution I will move past that part of the game mechanics...
FYI : if it was not clear the clay is being much more cooperative and already gave you the piece embedded in it while the Bronze seems less influenced by the charismatic trait (possibly due to their emotional/logical natures ? hint)

Clay
Whether by accident or part of the Clay golems plan the shard embedded in the Bronze is also knocked loose as the two wrestle each other across the room floor. Taking advantage of the situation you quickly collect all the shards next to the pedestal and begin arranging them to see if they can be pieced together . . . Give me another test on assembling the remaining crystal fragments.

Aurora quickly moves to retrieve the shard from the Bronze Golem and carefully tries to assemble the shards again.

Aurora manages to align the crystals and with a pulse of energy to jolts her away the click into place and begin to glow. as they do the two combatants roar. The sound reverberates through the chamber, causing you both to clutch your hands to your ears as you try and dampen the deafening rumble that ascends to a headache inducing keening. The sound stops abruptly and you blink as the room spins and you stagger to your feet. Glancing around you now see the restored pedestal and crystal humming quietly and a long figure where there had been two. Claw covers Bronze accents and the figure rises smoothly to its now 12' height.
The new golem turns to you and gives a half bow Thank you for your assistance. You may proceed towards the master. and with a wave of it's hand the door on the far side of the chamber from where you entered opens to more stairs.

It takes a few moments for Aurora to realize what just happened.
"You are most welcome. Well, Orrid, let us continue our path then", says the ursine woman and walks towards the stairs, carefully watching the surroundings for hints and dangers.

You leave to chamber and begin ascending the stairs to the next level. Again the magic of the tower is brought to mind and you ascent many sets of straight stairs with landings between them. At each landing is a simple lantern and the stairs turn to the left. After passing the 2nd landing you hear a noise of movement ahead of you. Moving cautiously you move to the 3rd and see a small animal hopping in an attempt to get up the next stair. Raising you light you see it is a bird. The rounded head and large eyes identify it as an owl but the color of it's feathers is more like a song bird, with red, blue, and green being the brightest and most dominant feather colors. As your light fills the space and lights up the bird it flinches and turns to face you as it hops back from you and its wings flutter nervously.

Aurora moves to dimm the light immediately, bright enough to be able to see outlines, dark enough to not scare the bird.
