Chapter 4: Lyrie's Sendoff
Chigaru walks in the middle of the hallways, out of reach of any of the doors. The place gives him the creeps. When they arrive and see the condition of their quarry, he heaves a big sigh. "I can't say I was hopeful about his condition but this is even worse than I thought. What's that he's saying?" He tries to listen closely. "The Skinsaw Man is coming? Hm..." Chigaru thinks it unlikely this man is their culprit after all. No one in his condition could have murdered people in such a fashion, and anyone who had commited such gruesome murders was unlikely to have been this affected by his own handiwork. He whispers his misgivings to his companions, out of earshot of the sanitarium worker.

Khel raised his eyebrows listening to Brodert Quink. His face had a worried expression that was reflected in his eyes. "This...is bad news. Our success at foiling Nualia would lead to nothing if this continues. Others must know about this, but they have left for the sanatorium. Is there any way we can ward off this runewell? Prevent it from activating?"

"That door is locked," Erin says, quite perturbed that Grimwulf is moving towards it. But before he can move to stop the halfling the man in the straitjacket opens his eyes and sits upright. He seems to have reacted to Grimwulf's voice.

"He said. He said you would visit me. His Lordship. The one who unmade me said so. He has a place for you. A precious place. I’m so jealous. He has a message for you. He made me remember it. I hope I haven’t forgotten. The master wouldn’t approve if I forgot. Let me see… let… me… see…"

He thinks for a moment before he continues. "He said you should come to the Misgivings soon, to meet the Pack, for they have something wonderful to show you."

He stands and with uncanny strength rips open the straitjacket, his mouth opens in a snarl and you can see sharp teeth you didn't see a few seconds ago.

Katrine's mutilated corpse flashes in Grim's brain. His first instinct is to smash this creature's face in, but a part of him holds back for now. This master he spoke of is the real killer and they needed to know who it was.

"I have a place for you and your master too, under my boot heel with Beauty smashed into your faces. Who is your master?!"

The man rushes forward and claws at the first target he can find, which turns out to be Wess. The dwarf is ready for him though, and dodges both swipes.

You quickly try to subdue the crazed man. Chigaru lets loose with a knock that hit the man in the chest, but he seems to be too crazed to be impacted by the damage.

Then Wess follows up with punches of his own, but the crazed man dodges.

Erin starts running towards the stairs, yelling for an orderly to come help.
OOC:
Grimwulf already acted this round, will draw cards for a new round to see if you go before him next round before resolving.

Edit: Ironically Grimwulf is the only one acting after him this round, so the rest of you may go once more then I'll resolve his and Grim's rounds.

Ironically Erin Habe drew the Joker.

whoops, my bad. Assuming Chigaru is entangled with the patient, if my previous hit goes through I'll pull back on the swing to do non-lethal damage if possible. Give him a concussion as a consolation prize.

Saldrina decides to try a different approach. She wags a finger before Wess, giving him a sly wink in the process. "Wess, be nice to the poor man. Can't you see that he's frightened?" Turning to the man being held by Chigaru, she continues. "Who is this 'He'? It would really help us if we knew, and maybe we could help you in return. Hmm?"

You can all roll a Common Knowledge roll regarding the Misgivings. Chigaru must roll a new Athletics check to keep up the grapple. Assuming he succeeds, will Grimwulf still sucker punch the grabbed man. With such a deplorable roll, I'll rule you don't have to roll Chigaru, so Grimwulf just have to decide if he want to strike or not.

Grim tries to make sense of the words spouted from the delirious man, getting a mouthful of spittle, and what appears to be blood, on his face instead. The halfing's anger flares and he strikes the man unconcious.
