Borgo's goblinoid brows furrowed as he examined the space below as best he could.
OOC:
I'm not sure I'm getting the full picture. As I understand the situation and the geography of the place:
- Borgo descended roughly 20ft down this vertical shaft before the shaft opens into what I am assuming is a vaster space below;
- He is now hanging to the ladder rungs some thirty feet above the ground level, which he can see, but to which he would not be able to descend without a rope;
- the space below is circular, rectangular, or a simple passageway... (not sure which) that has a 30ft high ceiling, in which an opening connects to the shaft Borgo is currently in ;
- a doorway leaving this chamber / passage is visible below, but it is facuing opposite the ladder rungs (meaning Borgo has to twist around in order to see it).
Is this more or less correct? If so, Borgo would need to tie a rope to the last rungs of the ladder in order to slide down to the floor level? He has enough rope, and could tie a knot if Borgo passes the torch up to Thak while he uses his newly freed hand to uncoil his rope and tie one end to the rung.
