I fought so you wouldn't have to absorb the Fear from my dreadful rolls over there. I think I've accumulated about 8 Fear so far and not a single Hope.

Even if they face isn't recognizably the same, the hair color and basic body shape would be (and even something of the face is probably recognizable if Talin was able to identify specific bruising on a finger.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. The man that fell from the ship, and the prince could properly be the same person. There is a bit of uncertainty due to the splat effect. But the general build, hairstyle, clothes, and ring all match.

Ok. Is there a way to detect the kind of magic that can do what Talin can do? The only way built into the spell (unlike the Wizard version which doesn't work on people in Melee range, which I assume would have been spotted at the high table) is to force the person into a lot of Actions. I'm sure there are more powerful magics that could do it, but Talin is very familiar with this one.

Sorcerers have a built in "detect magic" but I think it's close range. Lemme look.

Arcane Sense: You can sense the presence of magical people and objects within Close range.
Yep. I've kind of said it's also dependant on the "power" of the magic. Thus, the engines of the Prince's airship give Andariel a headache from a ways off.

My read of it was that it is a magical ability (it lists Spell as the type on the card), but if it's not magical that's good for Talin overall, if annoying for his current theory :).

@Emberskyes Can I ask that you explicitly call out who is speaking when the characters from the other game are in the scene. "The Dark Elf woman" does distinguish it, but only by elimination (since we don't know those characters particularly) and it would help if we have the name any time they speak or act. I know it may be an intrusion on your writing style but, for me at least, it will make it much easier to read.

Now this is the game element for me:
I have established major plot points and their corresponding derivatives.
I have two stories/games (this and my 1-1 with Emberskyes) where each plot point takes centre stage, but there is an influence from the other plot point.

What I made each plot, I had no idea how it was going to be solved, that is all your doing. Your questions, your actions, lead to the boarding of the flagship.
Now I know how both adventures will conclude! :D
Unfortunately, this means that I will need a battle map to keep track of sailors and soldiers, syndicate retenue and players on different levels of the ship. This also means that my previous descriptions of the ship and the battle map will not match 100%

Primarily, this blue circle around the ship is not there, but everything else is on the battle map.

This is an elemental circle, as is common in Eberron. I had for a long time been unsure if I was going with the Eberron ship design for my airships or the blimp design previously used. I'm sticking with the blimp design, so the blue circle is not there

Just a heads up:
We will end this game once the combat encounter with the spirit is over, and loose ends have been gathered.

I believe that we have fucked-around-and-found-out a lot through our game, but we have also lost several players.

How do you want to end the combat encounter Public

I need a break from GMming. When this games is ended, all questions about the plots will be answered.

But i really like this setting we have made, so by spring time i would probably start something new. There is a lot more to explore here.
