Chigaru meets up with the others. "I think I found the way to some really bad stuff but I am not foolish to go alone. It looks like you all succeeded without too much violence. What's the plan?"
Aug 6, 2025 5:47 pm
"Seems like we may be in for a proper fight, and healing is in order. I say two of us quickly head back up top to the shops and buy what we can then meet back here."
Aug 6, 2025 7:11 pm
Khel nodded, "I think it would be a nice idea. In the meantime, I can take some break and go over all my arcane studies for now, until you return with the healing potions."
OOC:
Using the time to regain PP.

OOC:
The trip back to town would be a 2 hour journey, so 4 hours + whatever time it takes in town. Who will stay and who will go?
Aug 7, 2025 2:39 pm
OOC:
Chigaru will stay.
Aug 7, 2025 2:43 pm
OOC:
Wess would also stay
Aug 7, 2025 3:10 pm
OOC:
Saldrina can go either way. She'll stay unless the group going back needs her.

OOC:
Khel will stay and rest to regain power points.
Aug 7, 2025 4:22 pm
Grim shrugs his shoulders as everyone decides to stay put. "Alright, don't get into any trouble before I come back. Or at least leave the big fella for me." referring to the drawing they had seen earlier.

With that, the halfing starts his journey back to Sandpoint.
Aug 7, 2025 4:52 pm
Wess smiles and replies to Grimwulf "Of course! Wouldn't dream of charging in there without you and your hammer with us."
Aug 8, 2025 10:56 am
OOC:
Will you take Lyrie with you, or keep her close by for now?
Aug 8, 2025 1:36 pm
OOC:
She should be evacuated and kept in the Sandpoint jail for now, until we come back.
Aug 8, 2025 3:08 pm
Hands tied behind her back, mouth gagged, and a piece of rope around her waist, with Grim holding the other end of the leash, five feet away, the halfing grumbles "Let's go."

Sheriff Belor Hemlock
Grimwulf has little trouble on the way back, though Lyrie tries to talk through her mouth gag several times.

Back in Sandpoint you bring Lyrie to the sheriff who is surprised to see you back, especially alone.

"Is this the one that was behind the assault?" he asks. "Using the Nualia name is a dirty tactic."

She shakes her head, her mouth still gagged. But once he's informed about the situation and hears her name he goes to a pile of papers on his desk.

"Came a letter about a Lyrie Akenja," he says looking through them for a while until he find the right paper. Finally he triumphantly pull out one of the letters. "Yeah. Here it is. She's wanted for two accounts of murders. Killed two aspiring Pathfinders."

Lyrie
"Allegedly," Lyrie says, she's finally managed to shift the gag off. "Frame job."

Sheriff Belor Hemlock
"Take it up with the magistrate," Belor sighs. "Put her in the cell. We'll transport her to Magnimar. We're not set up for a trial here."
OOC:
Once Lyrie is safely deposited to the jail, buying the last two healing potions should be no trouble. You could use the money from Lyrie's pouch and still have some money left over.

You set out at dawn, but it took some time to find the thistletop ruins, and with all the time you've used so it is around 02:00 PM before he returns.

Where do the group at the ruins want to wait for Grimwulf?
Aug 8, 2025 8:37 pm
After Grimwulf leaves Wess ask, "Can we let that poor horse go while we wait?"
Aug 9, 2025 8:33 am
Khel nodded to Wess, "I agree, that poor creature is suffering here. Lets rake it outside and release it."
OOC:
I guess with 2 hour resting, I will recover all the powerpoints.

"A noble deed to release the horse. We should check for any other prisoners or dead." Chigaru will finish exploring the fort except for the dangerous-looking carved doors.

You are able to free the horse easily enough. At least the physical barrier. Once you do, you can see it is a well bred warhorse, though it has been left to hunger. It trashes wildy whenever anyone of you get close.
OOC:
You can calm the horse with a Survival roll at -2.

Based on what Lyrie has told you, there is few places you can go exploring without getting into potential trouble. To the south from the hallway with the scary door would be the sleeping quarters of Bruthazmus and Orik.

To the west through the scary door was the Yeth hounds. To the east she talked about Tentamorts.

In the lower level, Nualia is in a chamber to the east. She also talked about some undeads to the south, though you haven't seen any way there. So where would you go to explore.

If you spend any time in the lower two levels there will be a chance to be discovered, as they are as likely as Lyrie to walk around. Though yo got the impression they are all avoiding the goblins, making the upper level safe-ish.

It will be 2 hours more for Grimwulf to return.

Wess tries to calm the battle hardened horse "Easy now, no fighting for you today"

Rolls

Survival - (1d4-2, 1d6-2, RA)

1d4-2 : (2) - 2 = 0

1d6-2 : (1) - 2 = -1

Khel had no idea how to calm the horse but he tried what his instinct indicated.
OOC:
Why don't we rest outside? Like maybe close to the bridge? If anything happens, we can retreat?

Rolls

Survival (calming the horse) - (1d4-2, 1d6-2, RA)

1d4-2 : (3) - 2 = 1

1d6-2 : (4) - 2 = 2
