Jotna, you look down the stairs and see pure darkness. If there is anything there, you might have to find it without your vision. How do you solve that problem?
Elma, desperately you plunge your dagger into the wolf's eye. Black blood starts to drip from the socket onto your clothing. As it hits your vest, you hear a sizzling noise. It seems that whatever is dripping down from that eye is extremely corrosive. You try to scramble away from it as Merkari comes in with an attack.
The wolf looks quite hurt. It's limping, missing an eye and bleeding from multiple areas. But that doesn't seem to make it give up just yet. "You think that's all I got?" It growls at you. Something in the room changes. A feeling of darkness even though the amount of light inside has not changed. It tries to smother your hearts and minds.
Those who have seen the dark tendrils notice that they are getting thicker. The wolf is dragging more energy out of the black pits and some of the wounds it has vanish before your eyes.
Then it chooses a new target.
