Stranger
Now that you are in the warmth of the fire, you get a better look. The stone structure is dry, except for the water you're dripping on it. The brass suns each feel alive in the reflection of the firelight, and seem individually crafted, unique.
The injured men huddled in the back are slumped over, tossing and moaning weakly. Their faces are gaunt and pained, as if they are sleeping in a nightmare. They have blankets draped over them, but you can tell something is very wrong with one of their arms. It is in a sling, but the bloody bandage is wrapped thick around the wrist as if it were twice as thick as a normal man's arm.
Regarding the music, the stranger replies in cryptic words.
"Pray you never hear it. The day you hear the music, you must leave Khazuul forever. It calls you to your doom."
When KCC mentions the injured men, the stranger snaps at him.
"Don't TOUCH them! Cursed, they are. But I have already paid the price. I will tend to them."
When Freki asks about the relic, he becomes relaxed again.
"Sometimes Khazuul's relics hide in plain sight! I discovered this one under everyone's noses. They thought it was a toy! Discarded it! But I knew better." His mood starts getting darker
"They always thought they knew better than me. But I showed them, didn't it? I showed them..."
But then serenity washes over his face.
"So many questions. Rightfully so - Khazuul is a puzzle, a mystery. But every question is answered with two more, like a hydra's severed head."
