STAR WARS: Tempest Feud [ EDIT ]
This game has been retired! That means it's no longer being run.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....
STAR WARS: Tempest Feud
It is more than eighteen years since Palpatine pronounced himself Emperor. Alliances have formed; Rebellion has been declared. In response, the Tarkin Doctrine has withered planets such as Pazurka, quelled dissidence on Agamar and crushed Irradia's secret rebel base.
Unbeknownst to the galaxy, the Death Star's completion is less than two years away.
In the escalating conflict, a fledgling Rebel Alliance seeks any means to gain an advantage over the inexhaustible Galactic Empire. Their salvation is believed to reside in the formidable Indrexu Spiral, a maze of protomatter, cometary debris and astroid fields that no-one has ever been able to navigate. Until now.
When word reaches the Alliance that a safe route has been plotted through the Spiral, it becomes a top priority to gain access to that information before the Empire....
Tempest Feud is an adventure module that was originally released for the d20 Star Wars RPG. It is being repurposed here for use with the WEG d6 Revised & Expanded ruleset.
The story takes place during the Dark Times/Galactic Civil War era, and focuses on a cell of Rebel agents who are working to secure some vital intelligence for the Alliance - a task that forces them into business dealings with a powerful Hutt kajidic.
Some important information for site members looking to apply:
Important Disqualifying Note: As this game is based on the d20 adventure module Tempest Feud, it is not suitable for anyone who has read or played through it.
Posting Expectations: I am a fan of detailed posts. While shorter posts and one-sentence replies definitely have their place - in quick dialogue exchanges, combat posts, etc. - I'd like to find players who enjoy putting as much detail and character into their posts as possible, where possible. I'd also like to find players who actively seek to engage one another in RP, rather than post once and then wait for the GM to move things along every time. Finally, I'd be looking for players who are comfortable posting around 5 times per week - and sometimes more often during combat - to help keep momentum going in the game.
Tone: I am a fan of gritty themes, such as exploring the subject matter of death, war, poverty, discrimination, etc., and other, similar topics. While I always endeavour to handle these respectfully, within story appropriate contexts, and without intention for mere shock value, I always provide a heads up beforehand (through this Details page) to players for the sake of transparency. Star Wars films, comics, and shows, particular some newer ones like Andor, explore these themes.
Party Cohesion: Characters do not have to be the best of friends, and they do not have to agree on everything. However, there is an expectation that players in any of my games take responsibility for making and playing characters that work well with the group, rather than lone wolves that will cause repeat problems and disruption. My rule of thumb here is this: would the party realistically tolerate your character if they weren't a PC? Would they continue to work with them? If the answer is no, then it's time to reassess, or replace.
Approved Game Materials: Material used in this game, including species and equipment, should come from published source materials that the GM has access to. These are: Revised & Expanded Core Rulebook, The Trilogy Sourcebook (Special Edition), Tales of the Jedi Companion, and/or The Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook.
Reading this Details Page in Full: Players looking to join this game must read, and agree to, the contents of this Details page in full. Before joining the game, confirmation will be sought that this has been done. If it later becomes apparent that a player has not done this, they will be asked to leave the game. This might sound harsh, but reading information about the game you're wanting to join is a simple courtesy, and will ensure you're not only joining a game that caters to your interests, but that you're also able to provide the kind of player commitment that the GM is looking for.

Characters for Tempest Feud will be created using the WEG Star Wars d6 Revised & Expanded rulebook. The following guidelines should be observed when sending over character applications:
No Jedi: This game is set during the Galactic Civil War. The Jedi Purge was successful enough that almost no Jedi remain in the galaxy. Because of this, I won't be accepting Jedi characters of any degree of experience.
Conditional Force-Sensitivity: Because Force-Sensitives are supposed to be rare, and they are quite powerful in this version of the rules, I will only permit the inclusion of a single Force-Sensitive character. However, to make it fair, the player will need to wait until they've paid the 20 Character Points to "become" Force-Sensitive in play.
Rebel Alliance agents: All characters should be allied to the Rebel Alliance, as that organisation will serve as their patron for the adventure's starting point. It's up to the players whether they wish to establish existing ties with one or more of the other characters before play begins, or whether they'd like this adventure to be their first experience of working together.
Species Options: Players can choose to be of any species found in the Approved Game Materials list located on this Details page.
Attribute Dice: Players begin with the standard amount of Attribute Dice (Species allotment + 6D).
Starting Skill Dice: Players begin with 21D to assign to skills. They cannot assign more than +3D to any skill, with the exception of a single skill that can be +4D.
Skill Limitations: No player can begin with the Lightsaber skill, nor assign any dice to Force Skills (see Conditional Force-Sensitivity, above). No character should begin with specialisations - these can be acquired during play, if desired.
Force Points and Character Points: Players begin with 1 Force Point and 5 Character Points.
Starting Equipment: Players can request a list of equipment for themselves within reason, keeping in mind that they are working for an organisation that, despite it's victory over the Death Star, is still woefully under-equipped. Any Restricted equipment will need to be justified and is not guaranteed to be allowed. The characters will not begin with their own ship.
