re-opened: Classic Traveller RELIC HUNTERS

The setting and rules-system are CLASSIC TRAVELLER (science-fiction); The Old School 'Little Black Books' plus the supplement Citizens of the Imperium. PLAYERS do not have to have the rules nor any particular familiarity with the setting, though that helps. Our team will be Scientists and Explorers looking for traces of the lost civilization of the legendary ANCIENTS.

Characters will be provided though can be shaped through collaboration with the Game Master.

The Game will be 'PG" rated, though some rough language and violent situations should be expected. Romance is OK, but outright sexual situations can only happen "off camera". We should be mutually supportive and friendly. In-character interpersonal conflict may occur, but players should endeavor to be respectful to one another at all times. All are welcome.

Combat in Classic Traveller is particularly deadly; if you are prone to liking your characters too much that could be a problem. The environment and space-travel can be deadly as well! You may end up having to come up with a replacement character as we progress through our story.

I will be using a House-Ruled Combat/Action format that I believe works for play-by-post better than using the by-the-book system.

The Game is limited to 5 or 6 Players, each with a single character.

PACE: My games tend to go in spurts and pauses. I have some health issues that sometimes interfere. And I sometimes travel, so a week off here or there should be expected. STILL, we should see a minimum of 3 posts weekly and more during ACTION sequences.

There are plenty of places on the vast World-Wide-Web for politics and prejudices. This space is NOT one of them. Thank you.

You don't need to know the Classic Traveller rules or setting; I and a couple of the players can help you figure it out if needed. But there are quite a lot of posts already 'up' and it might seem daunting to skim through. Ask questions any time.
