First post it up!
We're going to have our first action scene soon enough, and I want to propose a few house rules to help everything run more smoothly.
Because this is a play-by-post, and because Invincible lets you spend an available action to defend as a reaction, I suggest the following:
• Initiative: I will draw the initiative for everyone. Heroes all go together, opponents will also act as one side. This way, we don't have to wait on personal turn order. If it's the Hero turn, whomever posts first, goes first.
• Enemy attacks: I will roll for your opponents, and will tell you what will happen if the attack hits (damage/conditions/other effects). It is up to you to decide if you want to spend a reaction (assuming you have a quick action saved) to defend or not. At any case, you will be responsible to narrate the result of the hit. If you are Broken, roll the critical yourself, apply it, and tell the table what happened to your hero. Likewise, you will roll for your hero's action, and I will narrate the results, based on the antagonist defense roll (if they've chosen to spend the reaction).
The point is to speed things along. Try to minimize the 'wait time', and keep the scene moving.
Thoughts?
