Is there a way to recover a deleted thread?

Just like the title states. I very stupidly deleted a thread by accident. I've been working on it for a while. I was trying to delete a single post and then, somehow, I ended up erasing the entire thread! Is there any possible way to recover the information?

You can try logging in on staging - maybe it cached there.

You can try to check your browser's cache, although whether it'll be here depends on the browser and how long ago you visited the page. (If you are going to try it, I would advise to immediately copy the current version of the cache to avoid it being overwritten.)

Maybe also try asking Keleth? If anyone would know if there are any backups, that would be the administrator.

Forgive me, but I’m fairly new to the site. How does logging into "staging" work?

Staging is an alternate version of the site, at the link provided, which(as I understand it) makes a periodic copy of the site data and where @keleth stages new code and fixes for site functionality. It can't be used for games because it could be wiped at any time, but sometimes the timing works out to salvage something if a copy was made at the right time. I think you can just use your regular site credentials to log in.

Thanks. I've been trying to log in to Staging, but it's not working. I enter my credentials and click on the Login button, but nothing happens. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I'd have to wait for someone with more knowledge on this than me but I'd guess that means it won't help because no copy has occurred since before you created your account or current credentials but I could be way off.

Looks like the staging data is from March/April 2026 so I suppose you won't find your thread there.
I think you might have to bite the bullet and start over :/

You do not have permission to post in this thread.
