I am the proud owner of every volume in the Savage World War II collection. What is Savage WWII, you ask? It is perhaps the most realistic treatment of warfare I've yet seen in a TTRPG. This is not about the war; it's about the people who fought the war. This game looks at the stress of warfare and the toll it takes on one's humanity. You do not look someone in the eyes and pull the trigger without it changing you. Warning: This will be gritty and harsh, with realistic descriptions of battle and warfare. If it repulses or frightens you, then I've done my job.

This is absolutely not Weird War II! There are no werewolves, zombies, nazi sorcerers, or high strangeness. The real war was harsh enough without adding these elements.

This will not be an ongoing campaign. I have four linked adventures, and will run those four, then let it go. I hope to leave those of you brave enough to participate with a better understanding of what real warfare is like and a better appreciation of what our soldiers go through. The secret lies in a new mechanic, Stress. Stress increases with combat and things that challenge your humanity. It decreases with downtime and human moments amid the chaos.

So, all that said, is there any interest?

Sounds rather Savage to me. Might worth a go.

I would love to play Savage Worlds. But can you share more about the actual adventures? Where do they take place? Who are the protagonists? What is their mission? And so on. Also, since you probably already read through the material, does it try to push any current political or geopolitical agendas? I'd rather avoid that.

I am always down for WWII action*, and didn't realized SW had material out that wasn't Weird War type stuff. Is this for SWADE, or older?

SWADE. You can get the core book from DriveThru. In fact, you can get almost the whole collection for a song until tomorrow night, but if you do, I would ask that you not read the missions, as I intend to run them.

Without giving away too much:

The protagonists are Allied soldiers. The first mission takes place in France, c.1944, in the Sarre River Valley. The squad must cross the Sarre River at night, infiltrate the drowned ruins of Saint-Vrai, locate a French Resistance agent, and destroy the German signals relay station. The second mission follows on the heels of the first, and the squad is tasked with delivering a man who may shorten the war with the information he possesses. In the third mission, the squad is ordered to infiltrate a ruined village and sabotage a key German logistical asset. The final mission takes place in the Saar industrial region, during a major Allied push. While all elements are fictional, the focus is on trials similar to those endured by the 90th Infantry Division, the "Tough ’Ombres." If you survive all four missions, you will be changed.

There is, to the best of my knowledge (I haven't read all the material fully), nothing that is based on current geopolitical or political agendas.

I will be able to accept three to five soldiers.
