Forgotten Realms: Favourite Area to Explore and Adventure

What would be your FAVOURITE Forgotten Realms area to explore and adventure in?



If there are any 'Other' post the Area and let us all know.

I feel that the swordcoast and baldurs gate have been overdone for me

I agree. I wish they would create new adventures in new or unexplored areas of Forgotten Realms.

I believe technically Al Qadim is part of Forgotten Realms, right?

Also Kara-Tur and the areas from "The Horde" adventures, and Maztica-- all those out of the way different parts that are on Toril.

I fell in love with pre-ToT IWD because of the two CRPG games. However, the region itself isn't large enough for a proper adventure (everything is within a day of travel time), so I prefer to play in either the extended version of it (from Neverwinter to Reghed Glacier), or to play in its altered version that is three times as large with more places between towns.

Waterdeep, Elturel (and Elturgard generally), Baldur's Gate, Phandalin, and Icewind Dale are my haunts.

My favourite? I couldn't choose one.
