Ngofu Seragrii (Seragriu) / Hornet's Gaze, Relivke's Rival

The Sergarii family (called the Seragriu in Hatambetl) is a noble dynasty that until relatively recently has been landed and influential within Smithland, but have been stripped of their land by the Autarch's decree, after which they fled to the Hvirati Dominion out of concern about their future. A combination of existing connections and perhaps bribery allowed them to retain recognition of nobility in a foreign land despite being low-key persecuted by the régime at home. Their exact status is now in limbo: Smithland authorities stopped taking serious measures undermining the legitimacy of their titles soon after the exile, but to what degree a landless dynasty can remain relevant in the diaspora is uncertain.

It is under these circumstances that Ngofu has been raised, with an eye towards establishing other ways of achieving relevance. In her case, through scholarly competence. Specifically, botany, herbalism, and general chemistry. Though her own pursuits also veer into horticulture and ecology, especially that of the Ruby Moth Realm with its ant-employing gardening and bizarre biomes influenced by Downpours from the Outer Abyss. (Unfortunately, Ngofu doesn't know much about the latter yet, and is planning to alleviate that within the Seminary.)
