D&D first timer

I have been doing play-by-post original roleplays for about 13yrs and recently been more drawn into giving D&D a try - although still new to the scene, want to give it a try via text instead of being social and going to my local tabletop game store for a game night.

so if anyone is interested in doing a small casual group or has one to link
lemme know

(I don't exactly have a preference either reg dnd or dnde5)

just a tidbit about me n my interests:
- I've hosted a couple roleplays as a GM or DM
some current one's Im running - very homebrew style or oringinal plots

a One Piece x Riptide (jrwi) inspired dnd roleplay (1month)
I'm a big fan of the JRWI crew hence the inspiration to give actual dnd a try ...

An open world Land of Alcedia (deimos) running for 5 years
- we've had void dragon aliens, insectoid villain world leaders, lots of deaths and new characters over the duration.. its my longest standing group of roleplayers whom I all met originally on quotev and kept in touch via roleplaying on discord. some of which are in the one piece roleplay.

For reference, I do a lot of alternate timeline anime universe roleplays..

Hi and welcome to Gamers Plane! If you need help figuring out how to navigate this site head over to Introductions in the General Chat section, we've got a bunch of guides to help you find you way around.

Checking this Games Tavern is exactly where you might find D&D games that open for play. It remains a hugely popular system here, and openings for them come and go really fast, so keep a lookout!

I have an open game, if you'd like to check it out.

Welcome home!

Welcome! With regards to a One Piece game, I had a similar desire. I had considered trying my hand at running a SeaPunk Unleashed game (which is One Piece with the serial numbers filed off), but the core book is only available in Spanish at the moment.
