Hello there! (General Kenobi)

Hey there, everybody! My name's Amber, I'm a longtime lover of TTRPGs who actually first got into the hobby through play-by-post back in high school. Now that I'm in grad school, my schedule has become pretty inconsistent and I am looking to get back into PbP since I have time and mental bandwidth to play, but not in blocks that allow for regular, irl sessions anymore. When I'm not gaming in my free time, I like hiking, writing (fiction and sometimes poetry), and geeking out with my friends over movies, linguistics, or whatever else has captured out interest at the time lol.

I like a lot of different systems, but if I had to choose a favorite it would probably be Delta Green! I love the way the mechanics and writing style of the books directly support the game thematically, and lore is just freaking awesome lol. D&D 5e and Starfinder are easily the games I have played the most of since I got into this hobby, and I'm also very interested in Vampire the Masquerade (personally I prefer V20, but I'm not picky). I've also experimented a bit with custom systems designed by myself and a couple of friends, if you are working on a custom game I would love to hear/chat about it!

So yeah, that's me. I'm looking forward to gaming here and hanging out with other jazzy, creative folks like yourselves!

Party on and be excellent,
-Amber

Welcome Aboard, Amber!

Lots of love for Delta Green, the various flavors of D&D, WoD/CoD, Starfinder and lots more! Hope you find a game that appeals to you soon!

Welcome to GP! Delta Green is also one of my favorites games!

Welcome to the community, Amber! Grad school is also when I really discovered PbP play… though back then, centuries ago, it was PBeM that was in vogue. :)

And indeed lots of love for those games here — and like Nezz, DG is way up there for me… masterwork of a game.

Hello there and welcome! The WoD (VtM, etc) stuff is currently "in" here on GP, so lots of stuff floating around! I see you already found our little haunt of a thread, which is great! All in all this is great place, great folk and I hope you have fun here. Cheers!

Welcome

We must have a reputation somewhere of being a bastion of DG and VtM! We’ll have to capitalize on all the interest soon!

Someone, please… run Delta Green!

Welcome :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I've been getting acquainted with the site a bit and I love the diversity of games that I'm seeing (and continued reports of Delta Green's popularity lol).

My plan right now is to be a player on here at least once before I GM anything just so I can get my feet under myself more securely in terms of navigating GP and the tools it has, but who knows? My summer break is coming up and maybe I will post an interest check after all, depending on how things go.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I'm running DG run now! It's a duet, though. But I've run it for you before and it did not end well!
Solid plan. The site isn't hard to use, but like anything it takes a bit to get the hang of.

Since no one's posted the Welcome Links for you yet, I'll drop these handy links right here for ya:

Welcome to our community, Amber!

Welcome!! I'm a newcomer but glad to meet another who's interested in V20! That's really cool that you make custom games :0

I write fiction and poetry too--what kind of fiction do you write?

Also, what interests you about V20?
