Great question!
As you look about the courtyard you are drawn to the first thing you come across. At the center of the courtyard is a small pile of stones which serves as a support for a meager pole of wood that, though warped and askew with age, still stands. A tattered flag with half-faded heraldry is whipping in the wind. As far as you can tell, the heraldic device on the flag is a sable (dark brown, nearly black) serpent wearing a golden crown upon a field of green (vert).

Varos with bow at the ready will head toward the pile of stones that support an old pole and standard. He will use the stones as cover so they can get a better look at the main structure and see if he can get eyes on who is watching them.

Varos gets around the flag and the pile of stones. He manages to see what or rather who is watching them. Goblins.

Varos will signal back to the others that two goblins are in the area.
OOC:
Can he tell how many?

OOC:
Maybe one or two. Hard to tell from the nooks and crannys of the rubble they hide in.

Biscuit thinks to himself: "I hope he doesn’t die."

Mole follow Varos till the pile of stone. He is trying to asses how solid the E-7 structure is and if there are any shooting holes they could shoot from. Is it possible to approach using walls as a cover, i.e.

Or would we be exposed to their ranged attacks in any case?

Down the flag to force their attack? Dwarf suggests casually, not sure if goblins even care about the flag

OOC:
The structure is solid though it is slagged. The goblins could possibly shoot through the nooks, but it would be difficult at best. Not the best place to shoot from, however it makes a great observation spot/deer blind.

@DirtyDwarf77, @KingHarkinian are you with us? Do you want to act in any way or at least follow me and Varos. Do you stay there at E-4? I am not fun of party split.
Mole asks Varos: Ready to proceed? I suggest going that way - he shows with a hand

Varos will shoulder his bow and ready his staff for melee and nod"Ready."

Benford is also following, bow at the ready.

I guess i will have to lead. Moving as planned

As you move forward with your plan you hear footsteps moving farther into the ruins..

A few moments later, three goblins move out into the open with gritted teeth and daggers in their hands, they are accompanied by an older looking female goblin with necklaces of bones and beads, wristlets of leather and also bones and beads.

"Stop!" says the old Goblin. "What do you mean by being here in Blackscale Keep? Be warned, I have powerful magic at my disposal. Maglubiyet favors me."

Despite all his bluster up 'til this point, Benford is more used to solitary hunting than facing off against the forces of darkness in pitched combat. His first instinct is to riddle these goblins with arrows as quickly as possible, but he looks to Mole. Should we explain ourselves to her?

I just wanted to know - what do you mean by invading human territories ? Why are you sending them to die ? Do they deserve to die from our arrows?
Mole answer lowering his bow.

Should I just cast charm person on her?

OOC: Not a bad idea
