And I was surprised he pay well. The price for not telling the truth... I doesn't change a thing though, does it? Not for our plans

"I suppose not..." Benford replies pensively. He takes a seat and produces a small pipe from his mass of vines and moss. The different factors at play here swirl in Benford's mind as he smokes it. Is Krall somehow in league with the Lizard men? How does the party's tentative alliance with the goblins play into this supposed deception? Benford keeps his thought to himself, for now.

"Well there is nothing we can do about it now. We will ask the shaman when we link up. Maybe there is some info to be had there."

You spend the night aboard the Valdora.
The next day, despite the rain and mist, they manage to take you North and drop you off at an area with scattered trees.

"Thank you gentlemen. Which way is the abandoned village and how far do you think?"

"Follow the path to the right. It's a few miles from here," says Therin.
"Is there anything else we can do for ye?" says Cumwold.

Varos will go into his pouch and pull out 10gps"5 gps each to wait for us a few days?"

Biscuit adds a copper piece to sweeten the deal.

They take the gold and nod.
"We'll wait for ye and be back here in two days," says Therin.

It doesn't take long for you to find the trail despite the weather. Rain be damned. Your journey to the ruined village has begun:

Day 1:
Day 2:

Rolls

Travel Events Day 1 - (1d20)

(3) = 3

Travel Events Day 2 - (1d20)

(14) = 14

On day 1, you find a small ruin where you can camp away from the elements. As luck would have it, you also find a small chest, buried in the ground, with 150 gold pieces in it.

On Day 2, you spot a single Troll just off trail, eating...

Well, since two days have passed we need to get back to the ship, don't we? I suppose we can pay them with the gold we just found.

OOC:
I thought it was only a few miles. It would take us two days to get there?

Troll in the swamp? Interesting....
Mole looks looks for any details around that troll? Does it look like usual troll or is it a special swamp troll? What could Mole recall of troll lore?!

OOC:
It seems as if a few miles and a couple days mean something different to the Goblins who make their home in the swamp. The Troll is eating something familiar and disgusting. There is also a bag with stuff in it, can't tell what it is, but it looks greasy and a grey/blue color tied with a leather thong. This troll is blue skinned, with a type of moss on it's hide and green viney hair on it's head, long and stringy.

So far you have traveld a day and a half, a total of 9 miles. 6 miles the first day.

OOC:
Therin said it was a few miles not the goblins. I say we slip by the troll if he hasn't seen us.

I say we go kick Therin's ass for lying to us after getting payed and feed him to Troll. LOL. Kidding. Were I?
OOC:
Troll ... hasn't noticed mechanically speaking rogue could do quite nice damage during first round against such enemy it would be better than meet him hungry on our way back, but story wise I am with you - slip by and focus on main story content

Benford will try and scout out a path that lets the party pass by the Troll undetected. "Likely another one let loose into this unfamiliar swamp with ill intent" he theorizes.
