Our group needs a few more players for a Pathfinder 1e game set in the Forgotten Realms (Waterdeep, more specifically). The PCs have been drawn into an investigation of the attempted kidnapping of a little girl, seemingly a commoner of no importance. Still, the Xanathar wants her and has already murdered her parents (and has tried to kill the PCs as well) in an effort to retrieve her. The trail has currently led to the Great Library of Deneir in Waterdeep, where they are busily researching the girl's lineage. We are looking for two or three players to help round out the party.

If you are interested, submit your ideas for a 3rd-level character. I will notify those chosen via DM and send an invitation to the game. Right now, we have a human paladin of Tyr (NPC), a human rogue (rake), a dwarven brawler, and a gnome witch. If you are interested in taking a look for yourselves, the game is public and can be found at Waterdhavinan Knights.

NOTE: Originally, the characters were playing youngsters (about age 12 or so), but that idea caused more trouble than it was worth, so we aged them up and went with standard Pathfinder characters instead.

I have a 3.5 FR build in mind that could step into the current situation as described above; a LG Monk 2/ Wizard 1 eventually heading for the Enlightened Fist prestige class. The question is, are you content with using WotC 3.5 material, and if so, how much? I have played some PF1e, so I’m sure the Monk-and-Wizard aspects would carry over. However, I don’t think Enlightened Fist exists in PF1e. The abilities would read across as-is, I think; but of course only if you allow it. Ideally, the build also uses two feats: Carmendine Monk, which is FR-specific and requires that the character be a Deneir worshipper; and Knowledge Devotion.
I can come up with other builds, given time. I tend to favour human or half-elf and I like multiclass casters. Any restrictions on prestige classes? Eldritch Knight is appealing, among others, or do you actively want a divine caster?

Give me a day or two to look at the enlightened monk, but I think I can work with that. Yes, prestige classes are permitted. A divine caster would be appreciated, but is not strictly necessary.

Would a curious bard be a good fit? Could be more on the divine side but not much of a healer per say if that was what you were thinking of. Or are you really looking for healer to fit in?

I've been spitballing a half-orc warpriest if you want to fill a divine caster spot.

We are definitely short on healing power right now. That can be fixed, however, if no one wants to play a healer.

Perhaps an Arcane Healer type bard. They say they are relative to goodness of a priest.

Okay, since there seems to be no interest outside of you three, you're all three in. Let's do this!
