Gear Adrift

Gear Adrift-The rule is Gear Adrift is a Gift. You know the old saying, "If it ain’t tied down…". This is two rolls. The first roll is of any single die. Odd numbers can add 1d6 extra items beyond the standard above and purchase from the book. Even numbers indicate a loss of a random number of the gear above. Losses can be replaced through either S.T.E.A.L. or purchase from the book. Roll 1d10/2 for the amount of items lost.

Examples

Example 1 - Private Boot
Private Boot Is getting his basic allowance of gear and rolls his Gear Adrift roll using a d10. He rolls an 8. He loses gear. Private Boot is not a very squared away individual. He now has to roll a d10 and this time, he divides by 2 for the result. He rolls a 10. Private Boot is a real Sad Sack as he loses 10/2=5 items from his issue. Will he try to mitigate that loss with S.T.E.A.L.? We will see.

Example 2 - Sgt Strap
Sgt Strap just got his assigned gear. He is ready to roll for Gear Adrift. He can roll any single die he is comfortable with, from d4 to d20. He chooses a d20 and rolls a 15, an odd number. He gains 1d6 extra items for his starting gear. He rolls a d6 and gets a 3. Private Boot Sgt Strap can now choose 3 more items to round out his initial gear.
