Imperial Mega Voidship

Jan 18, 2026 5:20 pm
Unlike most of the crew you wake up in small cramped quarters of your own. The main living space in your cube is barely 4 meters cube (13 feet) with a combined shower and fresher taking up barely 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) of that for any of you who are more than 1.8 meters (6 feet) tall, when you sit down you have to leave the door open to do your business. The water pressure, of course, is almost always barely a trickle and it never actually gets beyond slightly warm and quickly becomes very cold.

The reason you wake is that the line connected comm device in your room is broadcasting a simple repeating message. "Scout and Protection detail report to bridge. This message repeats!" It continues until you hit the recognition button. After that you get ready and go through the communal area where the scent of unwashed creatures of various species sleeping and rutting in close quarters assaults your nose. Once you make your way through that mess you head down the hallway to the elevator and there you press your personal voxx to the floor buttons and are laboriously lifted up to the command deck.

The Command Deck on the Scrap Hogg is possibly the most well cared for place on the small voidship. There is a bit of rust creeping in here and there but, mostly it is well polished and kept shiny. The various officers work at their stations and in the center of it all is the small throne where Captain sits staring greedily at an immense Imperial Voidship.

The ugly, corpulent, balding man stares at you with his beady eyes when you arrive. "Ahh my valuable Scout and Protection detail. Please look at the screen, that right there is real treasure! I can hardly believe the map I bought was real but, here she is, the Ancient Relic, the lost ship known only as The Eye of Ra."

He grins at the image staring at the ship on screen, as he fiddles with some knobs at his chair. The image turns and you see battle damage, shattered steel, and an opening more than big enough to fit the Scrapp Hogg. "We will dock there, set up our hauling nets and begin the process of pulling everything of value off her to sell. You, will clear the landing area and ensure it is safe before scouting the ship and ensuring the crew’s safety. As usual, any archeotech you can carry is yours to keep and any you tag will net you 2 percent of the profit from sales."
Jan 18, 2026 5:42 pm
Silaster silences the vox and arms himself in wordless efficiency. The cold water, the stench of the lower decks, the press of alien bodies are endured without comment.

On the command deck he studies the image of the derelict, eyes tracing the ruptured hull.

"Old ships don’t die quietly."

He turns his masked gaze toward the Captain, contempt barely restrained.

"Let’s clear the landing."

His hand settles on the hilt of his blade.
Jan 18, 2026 7:57 pm
Ol' Toothy stands at the edge of the group looking more like a solid block of groxhide and green than something living. That is except for the meaty green arm reaching up so he can pick at something in his teeth with his pinkie. Beady little purple eyes stare out from his bald square head, and after a while he gives a surprisingly lively response.

"Secure da landy place? Yeah got it, gunna scrap." He pauses, then jabs a thumb at the others. "Dunno what dis lot of scrawny grots is gunna be good for though."

He doesn't seem in the least bit wrong footed by the journey up. As a snake bite, Ol' Toothy lived his entire life around animals. And that doesn't include his fellow Greenskins. He spent most of his time wondering around, menacing the others and brawing with anyone stupid enough to look the wrong way at a 6'6 greenskin with aspirations of more flash.

The alarm had annoyed him though, and so he ungraciously adds; "Oh and the talky box in the tin hut you boys 'ave. Is broken, dunno how." and shrugs as though there isn't a choppa sized hole in the device.
Jan 18, 2026 11:42 pm
Rho-Halax-872 offers a silent prayer to the Omnissiah for the blessings He has bestowed upon her, turning off her olfactory senses and relying on her internal respirator to supply her with oxygen as she makes her way through the communal area. Everywhere she looks she grimaces at the lack of proper care shown to the ship and the blessed machines within, logging the worst items she sees to attempt her own repairs and rites later when she has the time (there's never enough time for all of them).

Arriving at the relatively clean Command Deck she is finally able to breathe in the recycled air once more, stepping into place with the rest of the group. Her eyes are entirely focused on the screen for the entirety of the Captain's briefing. The Eye of Ra is truly immense, and the thought of the treasure trove of technology within sends a tingling of excitement through her circuitry. The thought of needing to work with xenos to retrieve it fills her with the opposite of excitement, but she cannot deny that their assistance provides a significant increase in the probability of successfully completing all mission parameters.

"Affirmative, Captain. We will begin cleansing the vessel of whatever sickness may lurk upon Her."
Jan 19, 2026 12:42 am
The Kroot warrior Razick keeps his own company a slight distance from the rest of the group, crouched against a pillar where he watches the display. The barrel of his long rifle bounces idly upon his shoulder as he studies layout of the wreckage, noting the massive structural damage in its side.

"I can only hope that whatever species dealt such a devastating blow to this behemoth is still lurking about," he says, speaking more to himself than anyone else present. The thick quills at the back of his head quiver as he rises to his full height and slowly begins to circle the display console. "It has been far too long since I have had a proper battle."

He glances at the rest of the group with a grin, then returns to settle down in his original spot now that his interest has been piqued.
Jan 19, 2026 12:17 pm
Will sure ensure the best security you can afford. Can't wait to finish the job and get into my comfortable apartment
Bigvy Quickfinger is talke just laud enough for those near him to hear his sarcastic comment. And it so happen to only be Razick, who probably didn't notice annoying small ratling to get hide from him on the other side of the same pillar.

Finally Ratling steps forward only when he feel like he's been noticed asks That map sellers didn't mention reason he wouldn't seek it himself. Did they? Any ... how was human calling it... risk assessment?
Jan 19, 2026 1:11 pm
Ol' Toothy laughs at Razick's comment, the sound filling the entire space. His grin after shows the gold tooth, and it matches Razick's own. He square's up to the kroot, and although potentially shorter he's considerably wider. "Think yoove had a proper fight? Nah, I can show you a proper fight after I'm done."

He looks over at the screen. "Yoo'll have to wait till after I'm done to get whas left. Everybody knows orks is the first to the fight, and wez made for winnin."
Jan 19, 2026 9:49 pm
Kaelith stands motionless in the shadows of the group, his hand loosely on the hilt of his wrapped void sword. His gaze is not fixed on the greedy gleam in the man's eyes, but on the cracks in the screen showing the fate of the lost ship.

«A ship called ‹Eye›... and yet it is blind to the void that has swallowed it,»
Kaelith begins, his voice as dry as the dust of Lazarus IV. He takes a slow step forward, the metal of his patched armour making hardly a sound.

«You speak of treasures and percentages as if flesh could satisfy the hunger of the void. To me, this wreck is another grave waiting to be properly sealed. My fate is already written; whether it ends in the bowels of the Eye of Ra or somewhere other is the interesting part.»
He tilts his head just a tiny bit, a gesture more like a ritual acknowledgement of death than a greeting. Then he turns his head to his comrades, who nowadays are used to his sermons.

«I will clean up the landing area with you because disorder clouds the mind. When the nets are prepared, I will be there. Let the stones be mine.»

Ringed by the soulless and expendable beings cast far from the divine light of the God-emperor stood a shorter woman, dressed in a black bodyglove adorned with oath seals trailing prayers written on yellowed parchment and with twin swords sheathed on her belt. She seemed slender to the point of malnourishment and with her head bowed she seemed among the least impressive of the group. But the lower bridge crew knew death walked among them and averted their eyes from her fervently. If they dared breathe reference to her person, they would have called her a Quiet One. They called her so not because her kind do not speak, but because of how they deal death. Indeed, they did have names, but they were only known to a few. Silaster Comondow knew her to be Martyria Voss. The others had no idea.

Right now, Martyria Voss was praying. It was a promise of what was to come.

"Emperor, Final Witness of All Things,
Burn away my doubt and hollow me until only Your will remains.
Let my hands become the ending You have already judged, and let every life I take be an act of worship."

The Viewscreen shows the interior of the Eye of Ra and you realize you are not entering through a rent in her armor, this is an actual docking bay. A haphazard shield glitters as your ship passes into the bay area puffs of atmosphere escaping as you enter into a truly immense dock yard within this Mega Voidship. It is big enough to easily hold other smaller ships like Scrap Hogg and there are numerous other berths most empty but a choice few of them already contain vessels in various states of dis-repair.

A corsair class Aeldari ship has had its engines removed and floats randomly around the bay. A Drukhari Torture Class Cruiser sits at a dock; the very front of the ship looks as if acid has eaten it away and some remnants of its crew float listlessly nearby. The remnants of a Space Marine cruiser is smashed into a wall at what must have been nearly full speed. A Chaos Marine Light Cruiser sits with just the front half at another bay with a red Paint Scrawled on the side "Solja Boys!". Another cruiser class Imperial vessel that looks very similar to the Scrap Hogg sits rusting on its own. Finally, Razick recognizes the Tau light research vessel sitting daintily at a dock, the only vessel that looks as if something is actually working.

The Space Hogg grinds against the dock as it slowly settles in, and you head down the elevator and then into the immense bay. The air is thin but breathable and you notice quite a few barricades set up within the docking bay itself. There are hastily cobbled together barricades all over the docking bay and most of the small exits into the mega ship have had steel welded to them. There is only one path left open into the ship a huge dark hallway and right next to it is a dead Imperial Guardsman and a message scrabbled onto the wall. "The eye doesn't see. The eye doesn't know. It sits in the darkness watching without vision. A blank empty socket staring into the dark and screaming."

Aeldari symbols on the wall opposite have been drawn with painstaking care. "Flee this wretched place before it is too late." Added on by other hands, not quite as elegant and certainly drawn in blood is, "Return to Comorrogh."

Tau symbols are written on the wall as well, "There is no Greater Good here."

Orcs have attempted to draw pictures near the opening here as well a huge red circle with an orc face in the center and then crossed out. Beyond that are more scribbles in blood, in marker, in any fluid that was at hand, most of them are raving madness but the others all have the same simple warning for anyone coming that it is best to leave.
Jan 20, 2026 7:16 pm
Rattling thinks to himself Why would otherwise waste time writing these warnings but aloud only quotes captain real treasure!
Jan 20, 2026 9:22 pm
Ol' Toothy stamps along the deck without a care in the world. While you might think the ork warnings scrawled around the place might draw concern he's far too stupid to care, and more than that orks will scrawl warnings on anything if they want to stop other orks nabbing it. It never worked.

Instead he walks to the dead guardsman, kneels down and proceeds to rifle through pockets and things. When he's satisfied there's nothing left to loot, he pulls the guardsman's teeth free and pockets them before turning back to the rest of the group. "Wot're you lot waiting for? Buncha squig livers."

With a wave of a meaty hand he starts down the corridor, humming as he goes without a care in the world. "Come on if you think yer 'ard enough!"
Jan 20, 2026 9:57 pm
"From the looks of things, we are far from the first to come across this wreck," Razick notes as he surveys the interior of the massive docking bay. He makes note of the various ships scattered about in various states of destruction, but still the cause is elusive.

"Aeldari, Drukhari, Imperial," he calls aloud as he makes his way toward the only open corridor. "Even Ork and the servants of Chaos. That Tau research vessel there looks to be the only one in working order out of the whole lot. Still, what could be so terrifying that even those idiot Orks wouldn't strip this thing bare?"

Razick takes one last look around the interior, then grips his rifle in both hands like a battle staff and steps into the corridor.
Jan 20, 2026 10:23 pm
"Glory to the Omnissiah," Rho-Halax-872 intones as she steps across the threshold onto the deck of the Mega Voidship. She draws her Galvanic Rifle with mechanical precision, a mechadendrite snaking out from under her robe and pointing forward just before her, the steady pulses of her Auspex feeding whatever information it can glean from her surroundings.

The promise of danger from all the warnings scrawled about does little to hinder the excitement in her circuits, only add a layer of calm caution over the top. "The sacred vessel has drawn all manner of forces to it, human and Xenos. The Tau vessel may be the latest to arrive."

"I cannot ascertain if the Machine Spirit of this sacred vessel slumbers or has faded entirely. If I could find some means to interface with the sacred vessel it may significantly boost our survival-" The Skitarii finds her words interrupted by the Greenskin's challenge. She lets out a binaric click of frustration, but she certainly isn't going to let the Ork rush on ahead along and risk him getting his Xenos hands over whatever archeotech may lurk within the sacred vessel. She moves into step behind him, giving him a berth wide enough in hopes any foe that may lurk within will focus their attentions on him.
OOC:
I imagine the Auspex will be getting a lot of conflicting readings with all the ships around. but she'll be keeping an eye on it.
Jan 20, 2026 10:33 pm
Kaelith takes one of his scrap-built flowers out of a shoulder bag and places it at the entrance, as if it were an entrance fee or an invocation.

As the massive bulkheads hiss open, revealing the jagged interior of the Space Hulk, he stops abruptly. He does not draw his katana, but merely places his hand on the guard. The cold, stale air of the wreck blows past him, and for a moment he seems to close his eyes, as if listening to the echoes of the corridors.
«Listen to me. This ship is a graveyard. Many have wandered here before us – looters, fools, and even those of my blood whom fate has led here.»
The Aeldari gestures into the darkness of the hulk.
«You are here for the scrap, for the gold, for the flesh. But should we encounter small, pulsating stones – gems that hold a trapped light within them – then they are mine. Do not covet them. To you, they are merely glittering glass. To me, they are the souls of my people, trapped in eternal damnation.»
He is aware, as the others, that he utters these words every time they enter a larger Hulk, but somehow the phrase has become part of the ritual of entering.

Silaster pauses at the threshold, just long enough to read the warnings without truly seeing them.
He steps past the dead Guardsman without a glance, offering neither prayer nor respect and melts into the shadows beside the corridor.

He advances silently, watching the dark for the first sin that dares reveal itself.
Jan 21, 2026 8:37 pm
Martyria Voss trailed the others. She had no objection to the Xenos taking the lead. Their purpose was to be slaughtered for the greater glory of the God-Emperor after all. She on the other hand would watch from the shadows and strike when the Emperor willed it. She whispered another prayer as she vanished in the shadows opposite Silaster Comondow..
"By the blood in my veins, I am bound to Him on Terra. By the blood I shed in His name, I am made pure. Let this dead hulk know my faith before it knows my flesh. The void may claim my body, but my blood is already tithed and the He Who Mastered Death judges me worthy to walk His darkness."

You move forward past the bones of the dead, long gone and unknown. Then the floor seems to be covered with a number of fleshy sacks, at first the sacks are motionless but as you move forward you notice that they are moving slowly. If you stop to observe one you note that there is something alive inside it. If you continue too much down the hallway you will surround yourself with these things.
Jan 22, 2026 9:13 pm
Silaster halts at the edge of the living floor, raising a clenched fist to still any reckless advance. His eyes move from sack to sack.

"They breathe."

He shifts his stance, blade drawn low, careful not to brush the quivering flesh.

"They want us surrounded. That makes them bait or sentries."
Jan 22, 2026 9:20 pm
The Aeldari pays close attention to the ceiling and access points from above so that he can immediately shower them with shuriken should enemies attempt to descend upon them.

Will follow the Ork deeper in until they encounter the first sacs, stopping before it and staring down at it as something within slowly moves.

"Unknown xenoforms."

She takes a step backwards as her mechadendrite sticks straight ahead, her Auspex scanning down the hallway. She shifts to position herself behind Silaster, her rifle pointing forward down the hallway.
Jan 23, 2026 9:28 am
Disgusting ratling utters as when notice sack are moving. Disgusting he keep repeating time to time obviously freaking out and trying to keep close to Ol' Toothy. For some reason he would think bigger Orc would be a more attractive target than he is.
Jan 23, 2026 11:39 am
"What're you waiting for?" Ol' Toothy shakes his head, pressing on regardless of Silaster's attempts to forestall him. He casually draws his slugger, shooting at one of the flesh sacks as he passes. The sound of the gun, amplified by it's modifications, fills the corridor and he grins as the noise gives him a rush. "You'ze get so scared, 'umies, pointy ears. Figured you'd be no help."
Jan 23, 2026 6:44 pm
"If our mysterious enemy did not know of our coming yet, they most certainly do now," Razick mutters, just loud enough to be heard by those around him. "The stealthy approach is likely pointless now."

The Kroot continues to move through the corridor, making certain to avoid touching the pulsating sacks of flesh scattered about. Their origin and purpose were still unknown, so it was best to avoid contact as much as possible.

"It's quite a shame the greenskins have such a damnably high reproductive rate. They would have wiped themselves out millennia ago if not for that."
Jan 23, 2026 10:31 pm
She observed in silence and shadow. The taint of heresy lay thick upon the path of duty. The Death Cultist's body was charged like a spring, ready to strike swift death. Her twin swords were an extension of her core. Her thumbs hovered over their activation studs... Soon... soon there would be glorious death...
Jan 23, 2026 11:40 pm
Kaelith, looks at the walls and the ceiling, even there he notes more of the strange things. Breathing?

When Ol’ Toothy shoots a sack the shot strikes true and the sack explodes with a resounding BOOM!!

The echoes of the explosion resound down the hallway and back slowly fading until you hear clicking on the floor. More and then more clicking a veritable tide and then you see them. The creatures coming down the hall are a foul mashup of species. Orc heads on human bodies, Aeldari and human mixed together, legs where arms should be and heads where hands should be and eyes in all the wrong places. As if some child had simply grabbed pieces of each species and shoved it together with another.

The wave rushing towards you is hundreds, some touch the pods and explosions blow them apart only for more to fill the gaps. A rushing tide of creatures that have no fear and the only sounds are the explosions and the clicking of their feet, all of the feet are some sort of metallic hoof…
OOC:
Combat begins. First come first served. You have 3/3 rounds until your current position is overrun.
Jan 24, 2026 12:06 am
"Eere we go! Das more like it." Ol' Toothy doesn't spare a thought for the abominable misshapen entities. Instead he draws what appears to be an axe with custom additions like barbed wire. He tests his wrist as he starts forward, before bellowing his Waaagh and charging headlong into the creatures.
OOC:
Are we making it to melee range this turn, because if not I'll fire with my slugga.
Jan 24, 2026 6:59 am
OOC:
You may rush into melee if you wish. DM makes no guarantees on survival.
Jan 24, 2026 8:40 am
OOC:
Could we clarify the situation please.
- Our ship: is it still there landed and it is feasible to retreat to ship, rise using it's elevator (it was ship's elevator we were using to get here, want' it?) and close it shut to not let any monster get in. Maybe even use some of the ship's weapons to clean the area?

- How far are the threat? I've got long range 54, can I shoot one?

- How do we run combat here on PbP - as per rules: once any player post their turn everyone else hold on until GM makes a turn by a threat, right?

- In this combat - are we treating the hundreds of threat? Do I need to read rules for Mob before making my attack?

P.S. Sorry for the amount of questions
Jan 24, 2026 6:56 pm
OOC: waiting for clarifications above
Jan 24, 2026 10:49 pm
OOC:
You have exited your ship and gone past the other ships in the docking bay. After that the only direction available was a huge empty hallway. You may retreat back to your ship or back into the docking bay behind other people’s barricades.

Edit: Each Target Defense = 4

2) The first player to post in the combat turn will go first then the enemy and then the next player until everyone has gone. If you want to arrange for someone to go first ensure that you discuss in OOC.

3) You may, if you wish use a point of glory to seize the initiative and have a PC go before an enemy

@Ysolde Are there still some of the pod/sacks left and usable by us or will they be all hit by the stampede moving towards us? What about the ones hanging, how can I make them usable to inflict damage on the enemies?
Jan 25, 2026 11:00 pm
OOC:
Most of the sacks on the ground exploded only for the creatures to fill in. The ones on the walls though could be used that way. As long as you don’t just blow them up on the wall itself. Also note, the explosions didn’t even scratch the walls or the floor.
Jan 26, 2026 12:35 am
Roaring as he runs, Ol' Toothy swings his axe in a narrow arc using his weight and it's to bury it deep into the first attacker he can find. He grins and laughs as he pulls it back ready to strike again.
OOC:
That's 5 successes, since I won't shift. I forgot the Wrath die so I assume I'll add a die to check if there's a crit or complication but not add it to the successes regardless of result?

If 5 successes hit then that'll be 12 damage.

I'm a bit rusty, so hopefully this is all right. I'll multiattack the two on the far left and right of row closest to Ol'Toothy, so just a normal shot here with aiming plus close range. I'll roll the wrath die separately. First rolls will be for left and then for right.

Like a shadow she flew forwards. Her body contorted in mid-air acrobatics to strike as fast as lightning. A hair's width before striking the power fields blazed across her swords. She was the end and the death. Effortlessly the swords cut molecular bonds apart to cleave foes in twain. She realized she was helping the greenskin. It did not matter. These fiends merely happened to be closest to her. They all needed to die.

Blood and viscera exploded from the second foe she cleaved. Perhaps the power field had met something volatile within the twisted body. It left her and the ork unscathed, but covered in her foe's ruin..

The hallway echoes with the last shots from Silaster’s weapon. The creatures that filled the hallway have been splattered across the walls and floors. After a few minutes the hazardous gas from their deaths slowly fades and you are able to walk through the remains.

You are sure that there were more coming down the hall, but now, in the quiet they are gone. Bigby takes a moment to examine the leftovers. The parts of the creatures were once the race they had been, but there is something inside them beyond that. His first thought is some sort of disease or cancer, mutated cells or microbes that were holding the flesh together.

If you wait nothing further comes, but you almost feel eyes watching you from behind various small holes in the walls. You also see some simple vents where some of the creatures came out previous welds having been broken through sheer force.

Down the hallway it splits into three with simple imperial signs.
*Lift - Bridge, Computer Core, Engineering, Cannons, Storage, Flight Deck
*Barracks and Mess Hall
*Garbage Crusher
Feb 1, 2026 4:19 pm
Silaster lowers his weapon as the echoes die, the silence settling heavy and wrong.

"Whatever binds them is still watching."

He steps to the junction, pausing beneath the Imperial markings. His gaze lingers on the lift shaft, then the barracks, then the crusher.

"The lift leads to command systems. That is where control hides."

His grip tightens.

"Barracks mean survivors or more bodies. The crusher means disposal. We should move before it decides to move us."
Feb 1, 2026 4:58 pm
Martyria powered off her relic swords and sheathed them with reverence and bowed head as she muttered sacred prayer.
"Blessed is the pure body for it mirrors the pure soul. Deformity is not misfortune but judgment given flesh. Purge the mutant in all its forms. Cleanse the impure, and the purity of humanity remains."

She then stepped up next to her fellow cultist. It mattered not where they went to her, for the God-Emperor guided her steps. Quite likely it would be towards more death in His name..

"I say we take the bridge," Razick replies as he cleans the gore from his weapon. "Controlling the bridge will allow us to control the entirety of the ship, and we can use it as a staging ground to make our forays into the deeper sections."

Once he's satisfied with the state of his weapon, he tosses the soiled scrap of cloth aside and rests the rifle across his shoulder as he moves to stand near the corridor leading toward the bridge. He eyes each of the others in turn.

"I do agree that we should move quickly. If there are more of these things lurking about, it likely won't be long before we run into them. I would prefer to have a defensible position before that."

Reloading his shuriken gun, Kaelith doesn't look around, but to the others.

«It doesn't matter where we go first, all places are important. But if you feel more comfortable starting at the bridge, then that's where we'll go. Many others will have thought the same, so we'll also have the opportunity to see what they had already achieved, or at least who had already been here.»
One hand at his sword, the other around the grip of his gun, he turns towards the lift, but waits for the others.

Rho-Halax-872 slowly releases her combat subroutines, reloading her rifle and returning to scanning the room with the Auspex.

"It seems the foe has given us a reprieve, for now. But it still watches us."

She examines the signs up ahead before turning back to the group.

"I concur with the Kroot. There may be systems I can interface with on the Bridge that may give us a better idea of the status of the rest of the ship. It is a logical place to start."

Rho-Halax-872 steps into the lift, eyeing the servitor skull at the controls. She doubts it's wired into anything other than the lift itself, but any information they can glean is worth a try. She transmits a command in binaric cant, what comes across as a gratingly rough, mechanical-sounding burst of sound from the Skitarius.

"Unit. Status report."

The Servitor acknowledges Rho and replies, "Left Rear Hover motivator useless, Right Front Hover motivator at 20 percent capacity. Left Front and Right Rear Hover motivators within acceptable tolerances. Lift main cable at 45% efficiency maximum load now 500 Kilograms. Elevator command structure damaged unit has re-routed command structure 536 times. Lift brakes non-functional. Last Lift maintenance 7,536 cycles ago. Recommending stairs... error...stairs are currently open to hard vacuum. Unit recommends servicing lift before use."

After that there is a crackle of static as Rho feels something delve into the Skull's program and everyone hears the Skull as it speaks. "₩ɆⱠ₵Ø₥Ɇ ₴ł₴₮ɆⱤ, ₮ⱧɆ ₵Ø₥₱Ʉ₮ɆⱤ ⱤØØ₥ ł₴ ₦Ø₩ Ø₱Ɇ₦ ₮Ø ɎØɄ. JØł₦ Ʉ₴, JØł₦ Ʉ₴, JØł₦ Ʉ₴."

Rho-Halax-872 suspects there is little she can do for the lift at this point. Much like many of the facilities on the Scrap Hogg, she simply does not have the time or the tools to complete the repairs and rituals the sacred machine requires.

"Blessed Omnissiah, bless thy withering servant with the strength of the Machine, so it may endure the trials we force upon it."

She is interrupted from her chanting by the calling through the skull - and she begins to suspect what befell the tech priests of this ship.

"Identify yourself. What is in the Computer Room? What has infested the Sacred Vessel?"

Standing outside and calmly securing the corridor, Kaelith listens to the others rather casually. When a strange voice suddenly comes from the lift, he pays attention, but tries not to neglect his security duties.

He raises an eyebrow at the conversation with the servitor, but waits and watches the Ratling as he winds his way along the walls.

If this continues, the Aeldari will soon be on their own. But the prospect of freeing spirit stones here outweighs any risk.

«Do we know the order of the floors? Which room comes first, from here?»
OOC:
Is the Corsair armour also designed for vacuum? If so, for how long?
Feb 4, 2026 3:46 pm
Note: Corsair Armor (and others of you who have armor) can survive in a vacuum for a short time. You only have a few minutes of oxygen though because the captain is stingy like that...

Those of you taking the Lift please go here.

Bigby sneaks away to the trash as the doors slam closed behind the people who have taken the lift. A few moments later you can hear an alarm and then the power to the lift goes down. A friendly voice says, "The Lift is powered down. Please reroute power if you wish to use the lift."

Bigby turns a corner and stares at a crisscrossing maze of belts. A few of them are even still moving slowly towards the crusher while others that seem to be headed towards 'recycling' seem to be permanently frozen. Deep within the mass of trash that is piling up on top of the crusher something big moves. The trash above clatters and repositions itself and Bigby is pretty sure he saw a gigantic tentacle.

Do we see stairs? I dont' believe my flak armor will fit for vacuum.
I feel like we are cut out of the story, just need to wait for the other players to fix the lift for us.
Or can we get some power generators from our ship?
That was the plan wasn't it? I guess we will need to reroute power either way for ship crew to gain access. Do you think we may get any mobile power source from he ship?
Quickfinger is looking for any alternative to servitor skull that was inside the lift
OOC:
is there any way to figure out how I reroute power ? I've got decent tech skill and investigation - any of those would help here?

Yeah I couldn't figure out how to do that. Anyone who stayed down please sound off.

I will, however, allow everyone to have a two-minute supply of oxygen
There are no signs in the area of how to go about re-routing power. Likely you will need to find the stairs and then go to the right part of the ship that handles the power to the elevator.

In order to find the stairs, it looks like you'll have to pry some doors open that have been welded or barricaded shut.

I don't necessarily need a map, but I will need DM's help to help me understand what are the options to find the doors. My immediate instinct suggest stairs to be nearby lift, at least that's how nowadays buildings are constructed. Please let us know if that not the case and we have no choice but to move either to garbage crusher or to barracks/mess hall.
Thanks.

Map

Just on the left is the elevator, around to the north is the trash area. Down south (not on this map) is the hallway
Feb 8, 2026 7:24 pm
You begin looking around for stairs as the elevator cogitator suggests but, looking around the area you don’t find anything that looks like stairs.

Some doors are easier to open than others but nothing is very helpful in getting around.

You continue to walk through the areas of the ship near the elevator and hear remnants of movement.

You are near an exit that was once a medbay and is now simply a huge slab of metal slammed down from the ceiling to prevent loss of air pressure. There you find a very old and small ‘temporary’ air lock. Likely some other explorers set it up to attempt to go into the stairs. You think you can use it for the same purpose.

Looking around, waiting here with a semi-armored Ratling and an unarmed Ork, Kaelith avoids a sigh and looks for a sign if the lift is still operating and/or coming back already, while being ready for any surrise which may spring at hem form a corner or above.
Feb 10, 2026 6:58 am
OOC:
Sorry for more questions, but I am still trying to figure out why we would we go into vacuum. Could you please let me know which of following assumptions are wrong:
1. We can only guess there are stairs behind the airlock, but not sure
2. We can only hope there will be more functioning airlocks on other floors
3. There are more more than 2 floors on the ship and we have no idea which floor are the rest of the tam on
Rattling suggest everyone to stop and listen to the remnants of movement - what direction does the sound comes from?

Quickfinger keeps an ear out, he can hear something under the floor moving around, there are numerous holes and vents where creatures could come out at any moment, and he practically feels eyes on his back. Some ancient atavistic sense that a cat is just waiting to pounce perhaps?
OOC:
All accurate. You don't need to go to the other levels and can continue to explore this one, something is certainly watching you and waiting. Instead of the stairs you could attempt to squeeze into the vents or just continue exploring this level though you are absolutely sure you won't find any power for the Lift down here.
Feb 10, 2026 6:42 pm
OOC:
vents and holes? That's exactly what Ratling would love to explore, wouldn't he?
It is our job to secure the area, isn't it? Will need to clear these vents one way or another the Ratling peeks into any vents or other holes where small creature such as him would fit in.
Feb 10, 2026 9:25 pm
«But we also have to secure the lift – to back up the others on the one hand, and to be able to follow them on the other. But if you want to take a closer look around here, I'll do my best to keep this place free of enemies.»

Turning to the orc, Kaelith adds.

«Do you want to go with him, stay here, or explore another direction?»
Feb 11, 2026 3:59 pm
If you say so. Can check vents later.
Quickfinger stays with Kaelith. Don't do anything
Feb 12, 2026 4:16 pm
"Wassat, wait 'ere?" Ol' Toothy picks at his tusk again, rolling his eyes. "You pointy ears is all the same, finkin you know what to do but really yer just scared."

With a last snort, he sets off. He plods around the area, heading around to the trash area. As he goes he knocks his choppa against things to test if they're hollow or if giving them a good thump will get them working again. He's not rushed, doing things at a leisurely pace.
Feb 12, 2026 9:10 pm
Kaelith observes with amusement how easily the orc can be ordered around. But his eyes remain in Tothy's vicinity, especially behind and above him.
Feb 13, 2026 3:02 am
As toothy begins to test things out tiny mechanical bugs begin crawling out of the vents. It is a mob of mechanical insects that come screaming from nearly every orrifice that you can see, chomping metallic mandibles trying to render you to scrap parts.

Feb 13, 2026 1:29 pm
The Aeldari had expected something like this. Perhaps not exactly this, but coincidentally he is looking in exactly the right direction when the small devices emerge.

Taking a grenade, setting it to a short fuse and throwing it into the biggest cluster of the largest opening is a piece of cake. The destruction there causes a massive halt to the flow of bugs.

«Over here, Tooth. The way is clear for just now»he calls out, amplified by his helmet.

The halt of the flow is for spending a Wrath point: Make a narrative declaration.

Same map as before. I didn’t move you but, I think Kael was headed back to the lift and just cleared a safe area. The swarm is basically coming from everywhere except where Kael cleared a path. It is not on not on Quickfinger’s body yet and he can run towards the meagre safety of the area near the lift or back into the docks where barricades have been set.

"Wot, run?" Ol' Toothy groans as he swipes at a few of the swarm lazily. Little things never make a fun fight though, and they always squish too easily.

He rolls his eyes as much as an ork can, and blunders in the direction of the others without much of a care. As he does he harrumphs his shoulders, and when he reaches them grumbles. "Better be a good fight over 'ere, gettin' bored."
Feb 19, 2026 3:11 pm
Kaeilith has briefly staunched the horde of scarabs but, the tiny insects seem to be nearly endless as they skitter out from various tiny places. They only pause at the end of the hallway and do not proceed too far down the hallway before stopping. They then wait for a time before slipping away into various nooks and crannies making the area around the lift look almost pristine.

A few of the mechanical insects stay in the hallway and you watch as they begin constructing the very creatures you first fought in the hallways.
Feb 19, 2026 7:33 pm
Kaelith adopts a relaxed posture and shoots away the top insect each time – the whole thing looks more like target practice than a fight.
Feb 22, 2026 8:14 am
Quickfinger takes best position and take aim over the hallway to shoot the very creatures we first fought in the hallways a moment before first of them is ready.
