The system is based on the Cubicle Games Warhammer 40K Wrath and Glory System and here's my idea for the basic gist on the beginning of the campaign.

In the Distant Future there is Only War!

The Rogue Trader plies the space lanes guided by the powerful Writ of Trade! You however are not a part of a Rogue Trader's crew. You are part of a Recolliger's Crew.

The Recolliger has a holy writ that allows them to ply the space lanes looking for broken down ships in the void and scrapping them for parts that they then sell to Rogue Traders or basically whoever they can find.

It isn't an easy job, and it barely pays enough to keep you fed. Your captain is a washed-up wreck, your crew is made up of humans, xenos, mutants and other detritus of the galaxy. Indeed, most of your crew are one in a million hardly capable of doing more than wielding the simple tools they use to rip the bones of ancient ships apart while hoping that there isn't anything inside that will eat them.

You, however, are a bit more than that, you are Stalwart Defenders of the crew, and it is your job to scout through the ship before the workers and try to remove any traps, or creatures on board that might kill them. Your only bonus is that if you find interesting tech you get to keep it?

DM Note: I have attempted a 40k game once before and it petered out a bit. This one is designed to be a bit less sandbox free form and a bit more straight up deadly danger, creatures stalking you, and creepy exploration.

Basically, I came up with this idea after playing the Rogue Trader game but, you should probably think of the Alien franchise except somehow worse...

I expect that characters may die, poor battle planning and decision making will assure it.

However, you may create a new character to continue the journey.

This is a Warhammer 40K Wrath and Glory Tier 2 game and you may create any Tier 2 character you wish, just remember that you will be working with "Filthy Xenos" or "Monkeigh" or "Greenskins". You don't have to like them, but you will be working with them as you try not to get eaten by the horrors of the Warhammer 40k world.

I'd definitely be interested! Been a few years since I've played W&G so I'm a bit rusty, but have plenty of experience with the 40k setting!

I do love some grimdark, and this would give me a reason to dig up my books.

Hello. I would very much like to play, but I’ve never played this system before, so I’d be learning as I go. I’m not new RPGs or PbP, and I can post frequently.

I'd like to put my fate into your hands.

Preferably as a xeno because I only played humans so far in W&G, but as a human it is fun enough to die and no one hears you screaming.

4 Invites sent. I have room for 2 more.

Do you have a room for player with vague lore/setting knowledge (outside of space marines/royal guards and their fighting with Orcs, Eldars and chaos space marines, i.e. - no idea what's a Rogue Trader and only learned about Filthy Xenos during your previous game). Player who will require some lore lecturing (or pointers to materials).

I would be happy if you can have me despite my gaps.

Invited and happy to assist.

I have never played Wrath&Glory, but I have read tons of 40K novels and played the FFG RPG's (Rogue Trader primarily). If you are willing to take someone on board new to the system I'd love to give it a try.
