I just came across this: Gil Gerard, Star of ‘Buck Rogers in the 25th Century,’ Dies at 82

As a 10-11 year old kid growing up in Arkansas and seeing the Buck Rogers movie close on the heels of Star Wars, I was 110% hooked on any and all Sci-fi from then on.

Thank you Gil for inspiring a lifetime of joy.

I was a fan too. Yeah, it was campy, but it was fun.

I think Hawk was the inspiration for Rick & Morty's Bird Person.

I only ever watched a few episodes, but one of my most precious possessions is an action figure from thr show my great grandmother gave me.

I totally forgot about Hawk until you mentioned him. Buck Rogers and the original Battle Star Galactica were both above the original Star Trek while on the air during my childhood.

You will be missed, Gil! I too loved the show as a kid. Even when they included Computer Perfection as a prop.
