New to GP and with the help of several I have started a game.
But
I have a problem that I guess the answer is staring me in the face, but I don't see it. My question is:

How do i build a table where the players populate data on it?

Not sure if I understand correctly, but...

This code:

[table=grid centre]
[_] | [_] | [_] | [_] | [_]
[_] | [_] | [_] | [_] | [_]
[_] | [_] | [_] | [_] | [_]
[/table]

Will give you this table:

Each underscore character in the table can be clicked to be edited.
You can use this code in a post, or even in a custom character sheet.

I don't think players can save changes to those, though. Only if it's in their own character sheet or their own post.

Ha, interesting. I can edit that table (adding a Dr_B value to test) on my previous post. So it doesn't let you edit the same table?

You're right, it doesn't work. Anything I enter disappears when I refresh the page.

Have you tried a shared character sheet? I don't know if everyone would be able to edit it, though. See the info here.

I've tried it on a shared Player sheet. Alas.

Star wars tokens and polls are the only multi user input I know of. See BCC guide for details

Yes, because of how ownership works, only one player can "own" a sheet, and only the owner can save data to it.

In a game the sheet owner and DM can both edit them. So if you have no private chats in game and trust the players to not muck about then you can make them all DM and share a sheet.
Or just share a google doc or some other online resource for team use with a link on an in-game shared sheet.

Yes I have resorted to a Google Doc sheet to map out the connections for each of the characters. I also keep a corresponding sheet in the game wiki page for player reference.

One of my players pointed me to a pretty good site that I use mostly for relationship charts. While it's closer to Power Point rather than Excel in it very simplified tool palette, it's easy-to-edit policy might be of some use. It's called Excalidraw.

Thanks I will check it out! I was also poking around with FIGMA/FIGJAM as an alternative.

BUT Thanks!
