OpenNimble 2.0.3Public1 / dayAriaNocturne
This game is an introduction for new players to Nimble 2.0.3. We will be using only the free Quickstart rules available from the publisher's website and the four pregenerated characters included. The plan is to run through the first three short adventures in GMG which will take the characters from Level 1 through Level 3, give them a sense of the character progression options available in the full game, and explore some of the tactical options available in combat.

Hi, if you haven't heard of Nimble, here's a link: Nimble TTRPG. It's a blast to play, taking the best elements of DnD and streamlining them to reduce the slog. I'd be running 1-3 fairly short adventures from the Quickstart and GM's guide aimed at teaching new players the ropes and getting their characters from level 1 to level 3.

Looking for 2-4 players who'd like to give it a spin. We'll shoot for 1 post per day. No experience with the game system is necessary, but if you've played DnD or really any D20 style game, you'll be right at home. Also, the free Quickstart rules and four pre-gens are available here: Nimble Quickstart. Don't read the adventures and spoil them though! >.<

Hey there! I’d love to jump in. I haven’t played Nimble before, but I’ve both played and GM’d D&D, Daggerheart, and Draw Steel, and I really enjoy fantasy systems in general. The 1 post/day pace sounds perfect for me—I tend to lose interest if things move too slowly (ex: 1-2/week)

I’d be interested in running with the pregen Hunter, if that’s ok.

1-2 short adventures are exactly what I’m looking for right now—a great way to dip my toes into Nimble and see how it plays without diving straight into a multi-year-long campaign that may never finish. =)

I am interested in checking out a new system and have really been enjoying the less crunchy systems of late. Are you planning to use the pregen characters or are you open to other character ideas?

Oo. The Nimble rules look kind of awesome (this is the first time I've heard of them). I would be interested in trying them out. The downside, of course, is that if I like them, I'll have to try to convince my friends to switch from 5e...

Looks like you have your players, but if another game/spot opens, I'm interested as well.

Wow, what a nice response for a new system!

@Psybermagi: I think for this go-round it's best we stick to the four pregens for the sake of simplicity. Rules for character creation are outside the scope of the quickstart, so you'd need to have the core books which are $35 for the full set in pdf from the publisher.

@timplausible: If you're as impressed as I am, prepare to do some convincing! It really is a very easy switch ;)

@ctme2000: I will let you know!

Okay team, we have a Hunter (Ranger) and a Mage so far, so there's a Cheat (Rogue) and an Oathsworn (Paladin) left on the table!

Oathsworn. And I have to say the biker kitten is cute/hilarious :)

Is the game happening now? If so, and assuming I'm in, I guess I'm the Cheat? Which is fine.

@Psybermagi: TY! I think so too :)

@timplausible: We're good to go!

@Everyone: I'll get the game setup and send out invites over the weekend. I'll plan to open up the game forums no later than Monday, hopefully by tomorrow for any pregame questions that might come up. Barring any unforeseen snags, y'all be gettin' Nimble by Monday!

Help! We've lost our wizard!!!

Hi, we're playing Nimble 2.0 which is a streamlined d20 system that has a lot of character options and some fun tactical elements - all without being too crunchy. Our party has just thwarted a kidnapping and faericide, and now they must journey into the lair of the adversary and to bring him down, but we're missing our firepower (literally).

If you've played any d20 style games, the learning curve will be very easy, and the quickstart rules (as well as the pregens) are available for free on the Nimble RPG Website. Let me know if you're curious or interested in trying it out!

Hi, this sounds great regarding post and adventure length. Looked over the quick rules and I'm definitely intrigued. Also, you had me at faericide.
