So after reading your message yesterday (and seeing this post), I decided to finally open the Starforged book I bought a few months back. I was excited about Ironsworn and my brother was interested in Starfinder, so I thought this would be a happy medium we could both enjoy. Haven't gotten around to it because I am a bit intimidated by the sci-fi genre. Skimmed through the book and your ongoing game, it is definitely something I'd like to try if you don't mind me fumbling my way through learning the game.

1.) Briefly discuss your Starforged and PbP experience, if any.
This would be both my first Starforged and PbP game. However, I do think the asynchronous nature of the PbP format would suit me as a player. The extra time between turns would allow for more thoughtful and engaging responses. I often panic when I am at the table trying to think of something quickly :D

2.) Provide a brief character concept. Since the universe isn't created yet, don't write a novella in case you need to change something. This will give me insight into your RP style, and ensure you get the gist of the game system.
I saw another game you were recently playing that didn't get very far (
Iron and Infinity III). Not sure how Gamersplane works, but happy to jump into that story if you want to revive it. That way you don't have to go through the setup process again. Here is a draft of how I would insert myself into the narrative if my turn were next:
"Man, Mara sure is desperate to find this Dex guy! Feels like she’s got half of Revenant’s Rest on this job."
Merrick turns around to see who’s sat at the table behind him. Only to be met by confused faces.
"Ah, right. The name’s Merrick Nylund. Bounty Hunter."
He takes a swig of his drink before getting up and drunkenly stumbling over to sit next to Cassidy uninvited.
"If you plan on finding him, I wouldn’t recommend working with Olga here. Too selfish. Too careless. Get ya killed like she did her squad."
Olga tilts her head and furrows her brow. Unsure of how this stranger knows who she is. He continues on,
"I'll beat her price, too. Am I correct in assuming she offered a 50/50 split of the reward? I'll make it 20/80. Haven't been able to do much bounty hunting since my ship's been impounded by The Federation. Think of it as payment for the loan I'm gonna need from you to get my ship back, along with a little extra to sweeten the deal. What do ya say?"
As he sets his drink on the table, the clink of an empty glass precedes an awkward pause. He motions for another round by making eye contact with Zoya and pointing at his glass before returning his gaze toward his new neighbor. Looking down, he finally notices the backpack containing a glowcat he almost sat on in his hurried stupor. He reaches down to pet the feline companion.
"Sorry, little fella."Open to anything, really. We can workshop it. I was thinking Bounty Hunter/Smuggler. Something a little less clean and orderly to contrast Cassidy's need for honesty and stability. I know I currently have two applications open with you. I believe I would be able to manage both (if accepted, of course). But if I had to choose one, this game would be my preferred choice. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
