Obsidian will stand his ground and bring his great maul down for a Brutal Slam on the skeleton and then use catch breath to recover some stamina.

.@mathias0077 I dont think you used your potion yet? You have a healing potion, pretty much spending a recovery without losing it.

With the bleeding having stopped, Vordokov slowly gets up and focuses on the scene before him, sending a healing beam of light to Obsidian and a destructive one toward the skull rune.
OOC:
Healing Grace to Obsidian for one free Recovery, and two surges

I know youre bummed about youre rolling, but I think youre doing great as a damage sponge. If I didnt have another damage sponge I would be dead.

OOC:
Well I guess that is part of my job. Hahaha It would just be nice to do some decent damage once in awhile.

I was holding that as a last resort
Nov 8, 2025 12:37 pm
Marbin rushes up the skeleton and stabs at it, hoping to sever a tendon.
OOC:
Will use my Hesitation is Weakness to go before one of the enemies, hopefully able to take them down before they can act. Assuming the skeleton is pushed back one square I'll move to E6. Then use I work Better Alone.
Edit: That's 12 damage.

With your combined assault, the last of the undead guardians crumble.

The glowing rune at the chamber’s center starts to dim as if starved of power. It fades to a dull red, then vanishes altogether.

As the echoes of battle fade, the room grows eerily still—until a low, rhythmic chanting seeps from behind the statue on the northern wall again. Without the clash of combat to drown it out, the words are clearer now—guttural and dark, rising and falling like a twisted prayer from beyond the grave.
OOC:
End of combat! What do you do?
Nov 8, 2025 4:39 pm
After he scans the room for more threats Obsidian say"That chanting doesn't sound good."
Nov 8, 2025 4:50 pm
OOC:
Is this a Reason or Intuition test?
Either way I dont have search. (Though we might be able to swing an Architecture test here?)
Nov 8, 2025 5:03 pm
Naercalad will enter the room and scan the surroundings, especially in the direction of the chanting.
OOC:
Rolling Intuition with High Senses to detect Threats.

Rolls

Intuition + High Senses - (2d10+-1+2)

(19) + 1 = 11

Nov 8, 2025 5:59 pm
Malfina enters the room, examines the sigil as it fades, studies the armor and weapons of thew undead, and overall takes in the details. She is trained in magic, history, blacksmithing, and monsters, after all!

Rolls

Reason - (2d10+2+2)

(28) + 4 = 14

OOC:
Can any of us Aid, and would Alertness help this test?
Nov 8, 2025 7:39 pm
Naercalad, Malfina, you inspect the statue and quickly realize it’s more than decoration — it’s a magical mechanism concealing a secret door. Naercalad spots the seams in the stonework, while Malfina senses arcane energy pulsing through it, linked to the fading necromantic magic. The chanting grows louder, clearly coming from beyond the hidden passage.
Weapons ready and eyes alert, the party steps carefully through the secret door, the noise guiding them deeper into the tomb’s shadowed heart.
OOC:
You have all earned another Victory (bringing your total to 3). Discard all unused Hero Resources and Surges.

End of Act 1.4
