Act 1.3 - The hall

The group advances down a narrow, dust-choked hallway. Flickering torchlight dances over the ancient frescoes lining the stone walls—images of a fallen knight borne aloft by solemn warriors, their arms cradling a large silver chalice as they carry it into a tomb inscribed with the name "Delius" above the archway. The artistry is faded, a forgotten tale of sacrifice.

Midway down the corridor, the somber beauty is broken by something far more grisly—the severed head of a goblin, its dull eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. Beside it lies the matching corpse, sprawled in a twisted heap, throat slashed cleanly. Whatever killed it did so with deadly precision…

Seeing the beheaded goblin, Malfina frowns and wrinkles her nose. She takes up a defensive posture and says, "Let be extra careful here... Traps, maybe?" She begins to scan the floor, walls, and ceiling for any gap or crack that could be dangerous.

Malfina, upon seeing Marbin get hit, you recognize the trap. The corridor contains a scythe trap that emerges from a thin horizontal slit in the north wall, 30 inches high, and is triggered by a pressure plate.

Someone could try to disarm it by inserting a thin, sturdy object, such as a dagger, under the plate to prevent it from being pressed.

But, since you are small (Size: 1S), you can now simply duck down and carefully walk to the other side. This won't work for medium-sized characters (Size: 1M).

Malfina shares this information with the others. I assume she was able to see where the pressure plate was?

But yes, she will duck and walk beyond it so that the others can see the blade trap, though obviously she will only do so if the hallway is otherwise clear because she doesn’t want to trigger it and hit a friend.

Aid + knowing where it is would grant someone a Double Edge

Tutorial notes
Edge: If you have a situational advantage (edge) on a power roll, the roll gains +2.
Double Edge: If you have two or more edges, the roll is considered as one tier higher instead.

Marbin makes a small yelp as the scythe comes out of nowhere. He tries to jump out of the way. His speed is impressive, so much so that instead of being hit by the scythe, he bumps his shoulder into the wall in an attempt to escape.

"I think I can disarm it," he says, stroking his shoulder where it hit the wall.

If I can leverage my Pickpocket skill to disarm the trap I would like to.
