New feature: Standing Orders
In play-by-post combat, players may have up to 2 (two) standing orders for their triggered actions. A standing order is a pre-declared instruction that tells the GM how to resolve a triggered ability automatically when its conditions are met. Standing orders allow combat to proceed smoothly without waiting for a player’s input each time their trigger occurs.
A player may update or revoke their standing orders at any time outside of an active combat turn. Avoid minor edits in this thread, as I may not notice it.
When a trigger condition is met, the GM will apply the standing order exactly as written, using the declared targets, priorities, or resource-spending choices. If multiple standing orders could apply at once, the GM will resolve them in the order most favorable to the acting creatures unless otherwise specified.
Example
When any ally within range makes an ability roll for a damage-dealing ability, unless explicitly noted or my triggered action was already spent, immediately use Word of Guidance on them.
If I have at least 6 Piety, spend it to grant the roll a double edge.
If there are accumulated moves and multiple PCs could benefit from it, prioritize the ally currently engaged with the most enemies; if multiple allies qualify, choose the first.
If you want, feel free to create one or two standing orders in this thread. When they no longer apply, please let me now with a major edit. Let's keep this thread clean.
This is an optional feature.
