The beasts now vanquished, you find that you are also standing next to a sort of spire encased in coral, making a natural reef, but looks more like a giant spike that nearly reaches the surface of the water 40 feet above you. All around are the wreckage of ships. Most are buried and decomposed, only a shell of their former selves - save one. In the distance, about 40 yeards away, hard to see through the murky water, you spot a broken vessel, it's side staved in. As you come a bit closer, you can read the scrolled lettering on the port side bow - Daggerwake.

Daggerwake? I have no idea. Let's explore. Mole eagerly checks vessel for any items.

"Yes let's."

Biscuit assists in looking around.

There is a huge opening on the port side of the vessel. However it looks like the aftercastle, aka the captain's quarters, is still intact, and there are three layers to it still intact. There are two voids, or deep chambers used for stowage one fore and one aft, a galley, a berthing, the lower deck divided into three parts - fore, midships, and aft. And a bilge level. You can see most of this where the ship is staved in, and some of it is guessed at just by looking.

"I say the captains chamber would be a good place to start."

I don't care were to start. Will dig it all through anyway.
By the way, who are you man and what are you doing here? You can call me Mole. We are here on a mission to fond some Mother Hush.

Mole decides to make introduction with the newcomer

"I am Varos, well met. I have also been sent to assist you."

Biscuit says: "I called Biscuit, mostly by the ladies, because I am small, tasty, and bad for them." He then starts to look through the captain’s quarters.

The Captain's Quarter is small as expected, however there are 3 sealed scrolls on the deck, and an unopened coffin locker.

OOC:
(Coffin locker - a bed whose top acts as a lid for a box, often like a large drawer or chest beneath it. this one is 6 foot long by three feet wide, by a foot and a half deep.)

Are you aware to are assisting with task of find who knows whom who knows where? Mole asks Varos grumpy - time spent underwater and without smoking makes him more and more somber every hour.

I'm going to check coffin locker, suggest you keep a distance - there may be a warm welcome left by the captain.
Mole is going to open coffin locker while double checking for any hints of traps.
OOC:
Please let me know if I need to roll for traps or locks, I'm a thief and although at lvl 1 chances of success are low, there are still a chance.

there is a simple lock on the coffin locker. it is a bit rusted.
OOC:
You will need a 40% or lower to pick the lock the first time. This is equal to 10 min. aka 1 Turn.

Success
You easily unlock the padlock and open the box. As you surmized, it is filled with clothing and old paper that's almost disintergrated. None of it is readable, but as you remove the final stack of clothing, there is a pouch, no...three pouches filled with coin...

You count out each one and find that each bag had 150 gold. 450 gp in total!
Oct 25, 2025 8:03 am
You can kiss your... Mole replay to Biscuit even more grumpy , but finish sentence with elbow
As the padlock unlocks and Mole smiles a big happy smile seeing the gold.

Mole suggest to split it 150 gold each and keep moving Now this is the retirement funding we will deserve when the job is done. Dwarf don't want to tease fate - now as they have found the gold he swear to find that Mother Hush if it will be possible.
