Captain Freeman
The sun sinks toward the horizon, painting the clouds in gold and crimson.
Captain Freeman steadies the wheel, his voice calm but firm.
Course is set over the water. But we’ll cut across the island there. It’s safer.
Far ahead, on the horizon, a shape emerges — a great airship from Highmount, its immense blimp and decks gleaming in the fading light. It drifts steadily over the waves, bound for the forested island. Slowly, your vessel begins to close the distance.

Mech
Mech rolls to the rail, the wheels of his chair locking with a soft click. He raises a spyglass, his eyes narrowing.
That’s the Flagship of the Stormspire Syndicate. He mutters.
A beauty of a ship… but far too heavy. That’s why they need that great balloon to keep her up.
His words falter, and his hands tigten on the spyglass.
Wait… what’s that? Is that a man, hanging on the outside?
A heartbeat later, his shout breaks the quiet.
NO! He’s falling!
Now you see it too: a silhouette, small against the vast ship and sky, tumbling helplessly through the air, plummeting down toward the dark canopy of the island below. The flagship is perhaps a kilometre ahead of you.
