I found the first attempt at this campaign promising, so I got curious when I saw another one is being made. Admittedly, I'm wary of it not working out again, but I'm up for trying. System-wise, FATE Core/Condensed has been an easy-to-jump-in one for me for a while, though Accelerated less so (I had some mixed impressions from Accelerated games, but I'm up for trying again).
Setting-wise, I should admit upfront that Changelings/Doppelgängers are the biggest appeal to me, though I'm also finding Warforged of interest. In terms of æsthetics, Tieflings are also cool in a way. Then there's the consideration of the setting's more original choice of technology level.
Here are my ideas about what I might be up for playing in case of acceptance into the campaign:
- Continuing playing the Changeling Eldritch Bard from your earlier attempt, adjusted for the new campaign and ruleset. Not sure how that would map onto the Approaches though.
- Some variation of a shadowy blade-wielding psychic or spell-user (something like a Hexblade in terms of æsthetics but not necessarily lore). Probably tiefling or changeling. Unsure how much of an overlap there is between things that interest me and what makes sense in the lore and in the way you'll be handling magic-users. Likely Forceful, Quick, Careful.
- Rennaissance Warforged Gadgeteer. Built-in tools and blades and dart-throwers, jumping and swinging from a grappling hook, cooking up alchemical substances and the like. Quick, Clever, and not sure what else.
Would you be interested in seeing me as a player again, and if yes, what do you think about those three concepts, and what should
I know about how you want to handle the lore and mechanics of the topics relating to them (most notably, magic and/or psionics)?
