Reroll Aces

I'm trying to make a post in one of my games and add a dice roll, but Reroll Aces automatically pops up, and I can't remove it without it deleting the entire Dice prompt. Is there any way to get rid of Reroll Aces without getting rid of the entire dice prompt? I'm relatively novice and new to Gamersplane, so I don't know how to do the most basic of things, so I may need picture-book details like I'm 5.

If someone needs a screenshot, if someone can tell me how I post one I can try to post it. Thanks

There is a game setting for reroll access, in the Advanced rules definitions spoiler. If that is set it may not be able to be disabled

Just to be clear, Reroll Aces is a checkbox and you can set the default for the game. Just because the words show up doesn't mean it's doing it. If you can't uncheck the box without deleting the die roll, then something's going wrong and we'd need the screenshot and maybe a link to a specific instance (I can't do anything about it and I don't know if it's something the mods can fix).

We will need to see more about what you are doing and what is happening. The 'Reroll aces by default:' game option just changes whether that checkbox is checked by default, it can still be turned off for a roll by simply unchecking it.

If you can make us a series of screenshots showing the process of what you do and what is going wrong, you can add them to a post using the 'image' button (next to the sword) on the toolbar above where you type:

Click on 'Upload to Imgur', select the screenshot and it will (after a pause) appear in the posts in an [ img] tag.

Providing a link to the game could also help if you want someone to look at the games advanced settings for you.

Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner, the GM showed me their setting, and it was off, and my other rolls seemed to be unaffected by the setting so it seemed to turn benign even though it is still appearing next to my rolls for some reason, I've been just ignoring it, because I've been keeping up with my game. I think part of the issue my be because I'm on mobile most of the time that I'm on the site and it seems like you really need a PC to use the site.

I don't even know how I would share the screenshot from my phone, unless I have to host it, because it asks for a url link I can't search my phone from pressing the img button, so I can't even find the image and select it and put it in the post or the prompt.

You can add an image by clicking the Image icon and selecting Upload to Imgur. The site does all the work for you. And many of us use GP primarily on mobile!

Not my icon, but pretty sure that sword is an eyedropper. But it does look like a sword.

Ha! So it is. I almost never use the menu, so I did not know that that one did color. But I still maintain that it is a sword. :)

I think i got it to work, long pressing vs a single press played a role. I rely on single pressing a lot and that messes up a lot of things it seems. This is the Re-roll Aces situation:

The red X is to remove the roll, so if you are pressing that it would explain what is happening.

Something is fishy with your layout, that is not how it looks on any of my mobiles. Are you, maybe, forcing it to load the Desktop Site? If should look something more like this...:

... with the Reroll Aces label next to the checkbox.

I don't know why your Reroll Aces label is up by the 'remove roll' X, but that has nothing to do with whether you are rerolling aces. If we can't work out why it is displaying like that, ignore it?

The weird layout appears as if some sort of auto-wrapping is happening: both the checkmark field and the "Reroll Aces" text look like they're being pushed to a new line. Additionally, the location of the avatar seems like a desktop layout, but the referral links are positioned like they are on mobile. :O
Out of curiosity, what mobile browser are you using, PlebeianG?

I'm using Chrome. I don't have Desktop site checked off, which I just checked thinking that was the major issue. I did notice the wrapping is odd when I use the site, it doesn't seem like I'm getting a mobile responsive set up, but I'm using mobile Chrome, so I'm not sure what I'm getting wrong unless I browse straight from Google itself.

It could be the fact my phone is so old that I'm using to log on and I should use my newer phone to log on and see if it would perform better.

If it works on your new phone then that, at least, tells us it is probably just an issue with your device. Probably not much we can do to help with a device that is acting funny. Now that you know how to use it, (don't press the X:) you can get by.
