'Read' notification prompt not clearing after opening and reading a post

Anyone else having an issue with the 'Read' notification/orange box not clearing after opening and reading the latest post in a thread? It intermittently lights up as if there's a new post, but nothing new has been posted.

This occurs for multiple games in multiple threads. Across different devices. Cleared cache, private window, various browsers, no change. Started a few weeks ago. Not game breaking, just annoying.

It is an ongoing bug that is being worked on

This thread has further information, but yeah, the read/unread feature is bugged at the moment.
