Final Stage - Bombshells 3010

Capitalizing on the dragon's miss, Murasaki gets in close and launches another flurry of blows with her tonfa!

Casey braces herself to try and catch the dragon's tail. She grunts as the metal tail hits like a tree trunk, but manages to grab it and turn her body so the dragon's momentum helps her spin and hurl the mechanized monster into the closest wall!

Murasaki deflects the mecha-dragon’s attack, then smashes the tonfa over its head! Casey’s reversal shatters the cytoplastic armor!

A voice can be heard underneath the heap of twisted metal.

"Au secours… À l'aide… Aide-moi, s'il vous plaît…"

Dr. WATHELET

Dr. Wathelet calls out to the voice under the broken mecha-dragon, "You broke the mime code, but that’s okay! We hear you! Help is on the way!"

He then turns to you, Dear B☢️MBSHELLS, and whispers, "You can get him out all that junk without accidentally killing him, right?"

"Yes. Stand back, doctor."

Murasaki strikes at the massive metallic heap with her weapon, sending chunks of it flying in various directions. The pile shrinks with every blow until eventually, she can see the mime's hand sticking out of the debris. She grabs it and carefully pulls him out, easily carrying him over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

After flipping the bed upright, she lowered him onto it. "The mime is safe and sound."

She turned her gaze onto Dr. Wathlelet. "Now, please tell us about the 'cure' that was administered to the mime. From what Preston-hakase told us, it simply made the cyboplasm more contagious. How can it be stopped?"

"The cure does not seem to have worked as planned, but I believe it did work."

He then asks the mime, "Comment vous sentez-vous?" The mime is off-duty, so he responds verbally. The two speak French for a bit, then Dr. Wathelet aims a contraption at the patient. The hand-held device has a screen monitoring his heart rate and Man-Power. "Trois cœurs sur trois. Très bien. Son pouvoir est faible. Quel dommage."

The good doctor turns to you, Dear B☢️MBSHELLS, to report his findings.

"The cyboplasm spread outward from the patient’s body because our cure purged it from his system. He is fatigued, but devoid of any injury, and I will need to monitor his recovery to confirm what seems to be the case: he is now immune to cyboplasm.

"Therefore, I will need to apply the cure to Dr. Preston’s assistant while he is in isolation, along with the security team."

As he speaks, Gong-Ju helps move all of the unconscious men by guiding their fairy-dusted bodies.

Dr. Wathelet then offers you a reward! "I don’t even know whether you need Francs or Euros or what, but this megaphone is made of pure gold."

It seems there is nothing further to do at the lab but leave Dr. Wathelet and Dr. Preston to administer the cure without somehow making things worse.

The other B☢️MBSHELL squads will return from their missions shortly. You can compare notes then and assess whether there is more to do.

"The Crone and I’ve been on a first-name-basis since the beginning of time!"

On the way back, Murasaki had discarded the tonfa. It served her well, but she wasn't one to commit to a single weapon. She preferred to stay versatile.

She inspects their new snippet with some interest. "Intriguing... Indeed, enraging your opponent is a valid strategy in combat. Thank you, you two." She bows slightly to Emoticat and Emotikitten.

"You’re welcome, Murasaki-san. It’s always a pleasure to know my snippets are helpful to you!"

When her dad mentions snippets-plural, Emotikitten glances down at the stock.

"Indeed we do! It’s the best snippet I ever created, but the only way I’m willing to part with it is if somebody finds The Treasure Harpoon! I can put you through college with that, even if you become a doctor."

As Emoticat’s concerns turn to his daughter’s future, Murasaki catches a glimpse of Chun-Li’s squad returning to the headquarters across the street. Her daughter Li-Fen leaps out the front door, embracing the martial arts master. Chun-Li enters the building with Li-Fen still dangling from her neck.

"Dad?! She was talking to the other B☢️MBSHELLS!"

Casey toussles the head fur of Emotikitten. "They grow up so fast," she says.

When Princess Diamond flits back in, Casey bounds over to the fairy. "Yay, you're back! I know the life of a Princess is a busy one but the Bomshells aren't the same without us all here!" She considers trying to go for a hug but isnt sure how to do it without squishing the royal faery, so just smiles broadly, hands clasped together.

After a few days, the streets are littered with bodies, all of which are covered in protective shells. Doctors Preston and Wathelet administer the cure, and soon the men awaken. The cyberware slides off of their bodies as they rise.

Cleaning up the streets of Paris is not a glorious job… but there are a lot of B☢️MBSHELLS. And the men who were infected by the cyboplasm had a lot of adrenaline pumped into them, so they’re glad to do a lot of the heavy lifting just to work off all that energy…

With the cyboplasma plague defeated, Casey returns to the hot springs for some soaking and relaxing. After taking time to think about the future for her, she decides she's not ready to hang up her whip, so she uses her shoe phone to call and ask if she can stay on with the Neo Bombshells! And although she's a founding member, she asks to be on the front lines instead of stuck at HQ filling out paperwork.

Murasaki stuck around with the Neo Bombshells for a while, but eventually, she left to wander the earth. She'd always be a Bombshell at heart, and she made it clear that they could call on her if she was needed, but she felt that she had to take this journey. She had to find a true successor to carry on her ten thousand Secret Moves.

During her travels, she tried to always leave things better than she found them. Sometimes that involved sharing her wisdom or bashing some heads. Other times, she helped others discover their own strength so they could help themselves. She took on many disciples, but none were the one she was seeking. The perfect successor didn't exist, it seemed.

Finally, her long journey took her back to her cave, where she once meditated endlessly until that fateful day she became a Bombshell. If she wished, she could return to her eternal meditation, where she knew everything but could do nothing. However, she had another idea. She wanted to make something of this dusty cave. Something that would outlast her.So, she went to work. She toiled and toiled until she'd repurposed her meditation cave into the Bakudan Dojo, where she welcomed any student (especially Neo B☢️MBSHELLS) that was willing to learn and better themselves.

One day, she'd pick a trusted pupil to carry on the dojo, but that day was far off. She intended to impart her knowledge for as long as possible.
