Chapter 3.2 - Return to the Golden Grain Inn
Upon seeing the undead Morton casts Eldritch Blast at it.Evocation cantrip
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 120 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Instantaneous
A beam of crackling energy streaks toward a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 force damage.
At Higher Levels. The spell creates more than one beam when you reach higher levels: two beams at 5th level, three beams at 11th level, and four beams at 17th level. You can direct the beams at the same target or at different ones. Make a separate attack roll for each beam.
Rolls
Eldritch Blast, Damage - (1d20+6, 1d10)
1d20+6 : (18) + 6 = 24
1d10 : (2) = 2
"Fall back a bit," he advises. "Let them get stuck in single-file while we flank the entrance!"
Action: Help Myrtha so she has advantage on any action, such as an attack roll. This won't help the reaction trigger for the Readied attack, just her next turn.
Myrtha's spear plunges at the creature as soon as it appears: the point pierces the leathery desiccated flesh and the thing bares its teeth, the remains of a face contorting into a silent grimace of pain.
The monster takes 9 piercing damage!
Then the undead attacks her in turn, grasping and slashing with clawed hands. Myrtha is taken aback by its ferocity as it pulls itself forward on the spear to get at her, and the claws reach over her shield to gouge her face.
Myrtha takes 9 slashing damage and must roll a DC10 CON saving throw!
Aanbo moves up to Myrtha as Arya moves back, fervently gripping her hammer. "Fall back a bit," the monk advises, "Let them get stuck in single-file while we flank the entrance!"
Seeing the thing clawing at Myrtha's face, Morton opens himself to his demonic patron, and the power of fiendish hellfire flows through the conduit he creates, erupting from the elf's outstretched hand in a wave of projected force. The blast ruffles Aanbo's hair and blows past Myrtha's ear to catch the monster in the cheek.
The ravenous undead takes 2 force damage!

Nearby, Lyrel stands at a solid wood door that had been barred with a beam. The beam has been removed, and it is a simple matter to open the door and proceed into the packed earth tunnel beyond. Stepping in, Lyrel can hear muffled, agitated conversation coming from the southeast tunnel, but the packed earth deadens the sound and she can't make out the meaning of the words.

@WhtKnt - Ember can also have Readied an action.
@MaJunior @mathias0077 @Nebula - Please take your turns for Theran, Chase, and Arya (she's moved, but still has her action).

Secret Roll
Crit damage to Myrtha - (2d4)

The warrior’s bulky armour was of little avail against the claw and its frigid touch. Her entire body grew cold once those greedy, clawing digits rendered her flesh. Somehow, she managed to resist the worst of the creature’s dark energy.

Constitution save vs DC10 - (1d20+4)
(14) + 4 = 18
Morton's eyes bulge a bit when he fully realizes what he just blasted and now wishing he could hit it harder. He has left space for those to move around him, but he is now more in the thoughts to retreat back as there is no way he wants to face that undead in hand-to-hand melee which he is sure that he would be the loser. There is define fear in his eyes. The only words he speaks are the arcane one's for casting.
Rolls
Attack (Chill Touch) - (1d20+5)
(19) + 5 = 24
Damage (Necrotic) - (1d8)
(5) = 5
Theran moves up behind Arya until he can lay eyes on the thing attacking Myrtha. Drawing both upon the nightmares of his past and his connection with the fungal engine of decay in the packed earth all around them, the haunted druid forms a ghostly hand in the air in front of him, which then flies corkscrewing through the air, weaving in and out of the spaces between his companions until it latches onto the monster's ghastly arm. The hand sends ghostly mycelium tendrils into the monster's flesh, draining more of its abominable health from its body.
The hungry creature takes 5 necrotic damage!
"Ember take the torch." Chase hands the flickering torch to Ember, then strings his bow as he steps up behind Theran. Through the flames of Arya's torch, he can just see Myrtha struggling with something there, and calls out to their defender: "Myrtha - keep falling back so I can get some shots off."
For her part, Mother Arkon prepares to soothe Myrtha's wounds, but can't get through the press of people to reach her.

23 - Ember (9/9)
17 - Myrtha (8/18)
17 - The Hungry (-16, DISADV to attack Theran)
16 - Aanbo (27/27)
16 - Morton (9/9)
15 - Lyrel (9/9)
13 - Theran (18/18)
10 - Chase (14/14)
6 - Arya (10/10)
(this was preceded by round one, followed by round three)
The monster attacking Myrtha seems to be weakening, either from the damage it has sustained (it is impaled on her spear) or out of disappointment that she hasn't died already.
Tossing the torch to the ground to follow Chase's example, Ember strings her bow, nocks an arrow, and, stepping into the space vacated by Arya, draws and looses a shaft that whizzes through the air to the right of Aanbo's head and to the left of Myrtha's. The arrow squelches into the monster's head, which snaps back.
The hungry creature takes 9 piercing damage, falls to the ground, and does not rise again.
Myrtha takes the opportunity to backpedal, saying "I’m making space, keep ’em pinned down!" as she wrenches her spear from the chest of the corpse. As the burly warrior-woman enters the feeding chamber, petite Arya calls upon Pelor's might, and Myrtha feels her weariness lift as the divine healing flows into her with the cleric's touch.
Myrtha regains 7 HP.

A second undead creature scuttles around the corner into the party's view, moving quickly on all fours, then springs up at the dwarven monk to claw at Aanbo in eerie silence. Aanbo is prepared, and avoids the slashing hands with ease (it reminds him, absurdly, of all the hours he spent training to dodge the 9-toothed rake at Earthshaker Abbey).
Behind it, a third undead humanoid looks with gluttonous eyes at the dwarf and Morton behind him. It tries to squeeze past its companion, but it can't quite reach far enough to touch flesh.

Locked in furious combat with the hungry undead, Aanbo continues to duck and weave, dodging the grasping, raking claws as he attempts to retaliate with his sword, but the nicks and slashes he inflicts on the monster's arms and torso do not do any significant damage.
However, behind him, Morton keeps his connection with the Abyss open, drawing upon his patron to send another shockwave of heat into the undead creature's snapping mouth.
Hungry 2 takes 3 force damage!
Moving down the passage, Lyrel sees the glow of refracted light in the distance, and things moving in front of that light. They don't see her yet, but she can see that there are three undead monsters trying to go to the light like moths to a flame (trying to eat whoever is generating the light, more likely).

Lyrel creeps up on the undead, puts her thumbs together, and spreads her hands in the darkness, quickly intoning the mystical syllables to evoke flame from the air to wash over the three foul undead abominations. She laughs with delight as they sizzle, and calls out in Imperial: "Dungeon Busters, I got your back!"
Hungry 2, Hungry 3, and Hungry 4 take 2 fire damage each!

Aanbo and the others are a bit shocked to see flames washing over the undead monsters out of nowhere, but Morton takes it in stride and responds: "It is a might bit safer on this side."
Theran summons the ghost hand and sends it flying at the undead once more, but this time the monster is ready and dodges it.
Chase pulls, nocks, draws, and looses another arrow. Once again, the ranger's aim is true.
Hungry 2 takes 7 piercing damage!
Her lustrous long black hair swaying as she moves, Arya smiles apologetically to Theran as she squeezes in next to him in order to get one of the horrible undead creatures in her sight, as she intones the ancient words: "Sacred fire, Sacred flame!" Holding the torch aloft in one shapely hand, Arya calls upon Pelor and a beam of coruscating light flares in the ceiling of the tunnel and stabs downward at the undead. "Sacred FIRE! Sacred FLAME!" Once again, the undead monster evades the attack and is not damaged by the holy light.

FYI: Absent magic, there are only two tactical situations where a 5e ranged attack would be negatively modified in any way:
1) DISADV applies to ranged attacks if the attacker is adjacent to an opponent (not the case here)
2) When the target is a smaller size category than a character between the target and the attacker (such as Morton, Aanbo, and Myrtha are between Ember and the creature for this attack), then the idea of "cover" may apply, and half- or three-quarters cover just gives a bonus to the target's AC (+2 or +5, respectively).
But, as I say, neither of these apply, so there's no penalty for Ember's ranged attack.
Tossing the torch to the ground to follow Chase's example, Ember strings her bow, nocks an arrow, and, stepping into the space vacated by Arya, draws and looses a shaft that whizzes through the air to the right of Aanbo's head and to the left of Myrtha's.
