I think it depends on how many of us are inclined to engage in quicker OOC banter and coordination. Posting to a forum always felt to me like a slower, more deliberate action, where writing many short rapid back-and-forth is wasteful and probably risks annoying people (and makes it more awkward to scroll through the thread afterwards), so I usually reserve this quick chatting for Discord (both for serious narrative/rule discussions and for OOC banter, reaction images &c.).

I don't have a strong opinion either way or the other. Right now, the forum works for me.

Forum's fine enough for me, but I think having a Discord server too could be a good idea.

Sequence, huh. I tried reading those through before, and I don't think I got a good grasp of them. Also, I am finding the OOC comment ambiguous: are we supposed to be engaging in a fight against the Shamon group, or are we supposed to do assorted actions that are meant to help with the situation overall (minimise casualties, organise defences, &c.)? I was thinking of doing the latter, but am unsure if that's mechanically feasible and not a bad idea (e.g. due to any non-fighting character drastically worsening the TN of the fighting ones).

What else do we need to know about how to respond to the situation?

As for what you're supposed to do: well, the monsters seem to want to destroy stuff, I presume the PCs want to avoid that. I don't think the characters are 'supposed' to do anything, they should act as they normally would.

If you want Claude to do that, go for it.

Funny, I was thinking the assumption would point to Abenanka given the previous interactions / familiarity with themes. Given that Hana is something of a late comer to the group.

Oh yeah, how large are petalframes? I was thinking they were the size of a small building, but are they closer to like an SUV or some large vehicle? Abenanka stated they landed on the boat, but in my mind they would smash right through the boat if launched. 😂

Also, am I correct in thinking the mech transportation tech is still "low tech" right now? No remote launching or air travel, and the pilots have to get to the trucks to climb into the cockpit.

I'd say they're a bit taller than a SUV is long, they're around 2.75 meters tall on average. But yeah, if they were launched directly at the ship, they'd pretty much go through it, but if they were dropped by parachute or something to slow down their descend, if the boat was large enough, one could stand on it.

And air travel definitely is a possibility.

Hey @Tickettbror, could you clarify what Abenanka tries to achieve with the ice magic? It wasn't very clear to me. By the way, I don't think she needs to roll to get to the boat, as there is no relevant obstacle or entity trying to prevent her from getting in there.

So the plan was for Abenanka to use the inbuilt ice tools in the Yuki-Onna, along with her own magic, to freeze the surface of the canal allowing her and Shizuka to move about on top. Given she doesn't yet have her petal frame though, I'll hold off on that for now. Sorry for the confusion!

Oh, ok. I'll still give Shizuka an augment for that, so your action doesn't go wasted.
