I feel like if there's a shamon around, then a pilot has the right to break any cameras around. Weird things set shamon off, so it's in the interest of public safety to smash musical instruments and electronics being used around them. :P

I'm working on my post, but about Claude's question, I didn't thought of the details of it, though I don't think there are many to start with. The Steel Petal Force don't respond to the authorities in the field, just their commander (who himself have his own rules). Hope Shizuka doesn't get upset with that~

The commander sounded like we have some legal enforcement powers. Mixing military legal powers and police legal powers is actually a big can of worms, so if we are to exercise those powers, the characters should understand the peculiarities of all that, that's why Claude asked about this.

No need to get into the weeds, I think. If it's a military zone or a battle area, military has authority. But once the shamon are gone, it's back to normal law enforcement. The military is on the hook to catch someone who took a pic of a petalframe. But if they kick down doors without working with police it'd be a mess, even though the military could probably get away with it in the end.

Shizuka is just letting it be known that she doesn't approve of letting military officers, especially those brought in from outside Japan, roam around Tokyo enforcing their own set of laws on normal people. But she'd be okay with that sort of stuff if shamon were around, since it's for safety and would be under military control.

Another thing to point out is that, in the setting, that matter would be much simpler and less bureaucratic than what would be expected from our real world. Basically, having a letter from the Empress, while still guidable of causing controversy, would give someone carte blanche to do, uh... A lot!

If we can in fact all present such letters in a way that would confirm their genuine natures to anyone we interact with, that does simplify things. I was very unsure what special permissions we have outside of fighting the shamon and using special gear.

Oooh yeah that does make sense if there's a fancy letter from the Empress. I'll still have Shizuka not like it, but she won't be as critical towards the military people about it. :P

Edit: Oh and I'm good to progress the scene. I was checking the thread all weekend, but somehow mind-tricked myself into missing like 5 posts. Shizuka would have a ton to say but we should get things moving, I can bring it up later when it comes up

I don't think Shizuka/Chimera are in the restaurant with you and Homura (which I believe is the second restaurant where the guy has a music gig and not the first one where Homura found him?). We kinda all got split up, but Shiuzka was following the mentioned "slimy trial" to find the shamon. No clue if that trail of slime led to the second restaurant or not...
