If that's something between PCs, maybe you can find a middle ground (it does exist)

I will post this hook and we will see. =)

@htech I was thinking about the hooks over and over again. I am certainly not going to play a PC hooked by what in fact is a "thief body guarding job"

I am considering compromise of game peace for getting a better hook and join Arrcher101d and underklumpen in their quest, I do love your hook "if you’re the kind that likes rare herbs, healing draughts, and people in high places owing you favors". would that work for you?

Sure. No problems either way. =)

Please let Briar know and talk to Cormac / Branric / Sif after that. :)

Edit: And you can move to a 5/week adventure after this one finish.

For your participation and roleplaying in the Masked Soirée adventure, receive 2 XP

For your participation and roleplaying in the A Hot Opportunity adventure, receive another 8 XP (for a total of 10).

Advancement rules are available in this link. Do you want to expend those to buy something for Legolas now, take a break from this game and/or bank for later?

It doesn't feel right that I've abandoned the second quest already.
[ +- ] Should I try diffeent PC?
I am deciding if I want to keep playing Legoals in this campaign/game. Both, his moral principles and trait selection have been contributing to my lack of desire to actively involve into story development. Would you allow me to retire this PC and create new one? (losing XP of course, but choosing traits that would not make me hesitate doing things that may require a test)

@htech I think I have an approximate idea of what I want to play (forest gnome, Charlatan), but want to discuss the extra trait
Animal Companion looks interesting and double down to Speak with Speak with Small Beasts. Just need to agree on the animal, right? I have a desire for my Charlatan to befriend magpie not as a pet (who sits on your shoulder and eat from hand) but as a friend and companion participating his Charlatan's manipulations and seldom stealing things for him.
[ +- ] Eurasian magpie
I think I wouldn't take companion into any dungeons, but would only try to use it for area scouting/information gathering/ situation stealing.

What do you think?

Sounds good. For traits, I think it should have:

Evasive: If the magpie is attacked, before resolving the defense, you may roll a d6. On a success, the attack misses. Otherwise, the attack follow the regular rules.
Fly: This creature can fly up to 60 feet an action.
Sneaky: Advantage on tests to hide and fly without being noticed.

Ok?

Evasive and Fly are great, but I just don't see magpie as a Sneaky animal. I'd skip that trait.

I'm good with 2 traits.
If I am to propose 3rd one it would be based on "Magpies spend a lot of time on the ground, actively searching for food. They use their beaks and feet to turn over leaves and soil, exposing insects and other small creatures". I'd like to have advantage on tests where magpie is actively searching for things I've asked it to find in a location.

I really like your inspiration! That said, I don’t think it would be balanced to give the Advantage for finding anything the magpie is looking for—like a sword or a hidden chest. Instead, it makes more sense to focus the trait on things that would naturally interest a magpie.

How about this:

Curious Beak: Advantage on tests made to search for food or shiny objects when actively investigating an area (e.g., turning over leaves, digging in soil, or poking through stuff).

That was exactly what I intended, but wasn't able to put into proper wording

I guess your character is ready them =) I will let you carry over half of Legolas's XP (5)

We will start Tragin's adventures soon, I hope. Let me just finish one of the current 5/week adventures that I can add you to the new one.

Or, if you want to join a 3/week adventure with Shmautz - Tiny Waterdeep: A Dark Auction - you can start sooner.

What do you prefer?

while A Dark Auction sounds intriguing I would prefer to wait a 5/week and chill out in the Tiny Tavern if it takes long.
