Chapter 1: Into Haranshire

That is to say, I don't expect Maxim to turn back into his human form anytime soon and we can't afford to just wait here until it happens. I'm not sure if he can comprehend our discussion right now, but I'm pretty certain he's calmed down a bit and reassured we mean him no harm. He'll have to travel back with us, in his current state. Hopefully we'll be back before nightfall so we won't have to spend another night in the woods. As for myself... it's less than a week till the Blood Moon. Guess we'll find out."
Of course, that's just human culture. For the elves, this is the night they celebrate as Faerieluck.
The warrior glanced over at the downed bear where it lay. He reached down to pick up the net which he discarded, starting to straighten it out. "In case we end up needing these again..."
"OK, we can give it a try, but if it gets loose, we're using the silvered weapons this time."
With the nets removed, the bear now shambles along behind you, especially Kuiper and Hanzel, who it seems to have somewhat of a fondness for, as you make your way back to Kuiper's farmstead.

Even as he said it, he crept forward another step - obviously anxious to return the favor by ambushing the orcs which had attacked them last night.
Probably where Devon gets killed, but what can you do :)

Hanzel takes aim at one of the axe bearing orcs before his allies rush in. He knows his chances of taking one out in a single hit are limited, so he aims for the weakest looking of the pack and lets the projectile fly (3 damage to Axe Orc C). Caradoc isn't as lucky and his shot whistles past another orc's ear, but at least the cleric has kept his distance from getting caught up in a melee. Just then, Kuiper and Maxim charge in at the orc axemen. With their attention naturally focused on the big mass of fur and muscle tumbling towards them, the orcs never really pay much attention to the ranger, who slices through them with deadly accuracy, beheading an orc before spinning around to bury his dagger in another one's throat (10 damage to Axe Orc A, DEAD, 5 damage to Axe Orc B, DEAD). The third axeman gets trampled by an enraged werebear, producing crunchy wet sounds that end with the creature raising its head, muzzle covered in blood (6 damage to Axe Orc C, DEAD).
Cut down swiftly and mercilessly, the remaining orcs never even get into the fight, but instead try to retreat into the foliage.
