Chapter 3: Thistletop

Khel follows the sounds into a room where the ceiling is supported by two pillars. In many places the stone walls, floor, and ceiling are caked with ancient grime and soot. Alcoves in the north and south walls contain partially damaged statues of a man in robes clutching a book and a glaive.

The entire room is canted toward the west, and whatever ancient upheaval caused the complex to tilt knocked the statues from their bases so now they lean against the western walls of their alcoves.

He focuses on her invisibility, and is able to dispel it. As she turns visible, she screams out: "We're under attack! Help me!"

You can hear Lyrie's ribs break from the impact from Grim, then another wound as Wess axe slices her back.

Shalelu starts moving down the stairs.

Then Chigaru opens the southern door revealing a hallway that leads to a four way intersection. To the south another door waits, to the east it is impossible to tell how far the hallway goes from his current vantage point, but most interesting is two large stone doors leading to the west.
The doors are carved with images of horrific deformed monsters clawing their way out of pregnant women of all ancestries.

The wizard dodges out of the way of the maul at the last second, to her own obvious surprise. "Why don't you discuss it some more while I hide?" she says, though she sounds nervous and looks to be putting on a false front.
