"We'd better get back to the car," he says, shocked at the men's aggression. He makes some calming gestures with both hands and starts slowly withdrawing towards their car. "OK, OK - we're out of here..."
OOC:
just to get the picture, would it be in theory possible to drive around the obstructing car, or does it block the road completely?

The group of men advance on you as you retreat back to your car, still not actually attacking you, just menacing you. All the while, still babbling in that nonsensical tongue. As you get back into your car and drive carefully around the car parked part-way across the road, one of the men kicks it as you slowly go past, and they stare at you as you leave.

You make it to the airfield, where Frank is waiting, and where he asks whether you're heading back to Arkham, or heading somewhere else?
OOC:
This is the end of the first area, though it's more of a minor area than a major area - coupled with Los Angeles, it will make up a major area. Normally, at the end of a major area is where you'll get your Drive replenished, and get an Attribute point to spend, but you'll only get the latter at the end of the LA arc. You do, however, pick up skill points here, 1 each for successfully getting through Joy Grove and the Henslowe Estate. In addition, Lillian can remove the Mark on her Coordination, as it will take a few days to get back to Arkham or go on to LA.

So, you each have 2 skill points - they can go on any skill(s) you wish, up to a maximum of 5 ranks in any skill, and you can't improve Credit Rating or Cthulhu Mythos. Let me know how you're spending them, and where to next (and whether you're going to phone Janet Winston Rogers with an update, if you choose to go straight to LA.

"Hello Frank. Good to see you are well! So, we should make our way to Los Angeles, I think," Samuel offers as they stand outside of the plane. Rubbing his chin (and favoring his elbow a bit) he muses aloud, "As for notifying our patron, I see two thoughts. Calling to inform her we found some nonsensical hullabaloo that suggests Los Angeles has more information may be a waste of her time since we don't have any real results. However..." and here the Marine pauses, seeming to contemplate his next words before continuing, "While I normally wouldn't advocate for bothering the poor woman, in light of recent events I feel notifying her every step of the way might be prudent. No one should have known we were here, and yet we had that little incident on our way to the hangar. I think regular reports in are in order."
OOC:
With permission, I think I'll put one point into Brute Force, and the other into The Mysterious Orient (since I guess Sam does know a little something after all).

Absolutely fine. You have complete free reign to put points wherever you wish.

"I don't like that we're being watched, or possibly informed on, either," Lillian nods to Sam, "Should be something that we mention to our employer, in case she is exposed to threats too."

"As for the information that we've dug up, what do you all think about it? It seems there is a lot of ...belief by a cosmopolitan range of people to me and I'm not sure we're exactly equipped for it."
OOC:
I'll mull over what to improve.

"Hello Frank - yes, as you prep the plane for take off, we will phone our employer for an update. Yes, Mrs Blakey, I agree that Miss Rogers whould know about our so-far anonimous enemy... I'd say we call, then we fly straight to LA."
